She came highly recommended by others that have worked with her in Traverse City and I can say with enthusiasm that she exceeded our high expectations. I almost never write reviews but in this case I am glad to. I have nothing but positive things to say about Connie at The Alliance for Senior Housing. She came highly recommended by others that have worked with her in Traverse City and I can say with enthusiasm that she exceeded our high expectations. Connie started working with my mom a couple of years before my brother and I thought she might need assisted living - looking at what was available and how the process worked. She walked mom ( and us!) through every step. They went to look at several facilities and my mom found one that she liked, though she was not ready to go yet. She still liked her independence! However when a serious accident occurred some time later we were ready. We got on the waiting list for the place mom liked and Connie called to make sure my mom got the very room that she liked if it was available ( it was!). My mom will soon be moving in and is very excited about it. The fact that Connie had spent time with her and we could point to a facility and even a very room that she wanted made a potentially very difficult process so much easier. Connie is simply the best! We are very grateful.

For months I was searching for an assisted living facility that would be a good fit for my 46 year old daughter who suffers from psychiatric disability. It was during one of these facility visits that I met a very empathetic facility director who suggested I contact Connie Hintsala President of Alliance for help in finding the best living situation for my daughter, Kelly. Taking her advice I called Connie who immediately set a day and time for us to meet and discuss my options taking into consideration Kelly’s age, the type of care she requires and of course what we could afford long term. Connie soon notified me of a few options that may currently be available but her advice was to give her a bit more time while she continued to find a home with the right geographic location, an appropriate place that could meet Kelly’s needs and an overall peaceful living environment. It soon became clear to me why Connie is so highly respected and successful in the assisted living and senior housing community because she is a person true to her word, a great communicator always providing timely progress updates and most importantly a person who truly cares about her clients and works tirelessly to achieve a positive outcome for all parties. I am so grateful to have met Connie Hintsala she will forever be in our prayers. Mike Sheehy

In our family’s moment of need, Connie provided the guidance, professionalism, and caring we needed. Connie was very knowledgeable and directed us to several assisted living facilities, for consideration, that she knew would fit our mother’s needs. Thank you for your assistance. I had no idea where to look, but you stepped up and had the information I needed. And what questions to ask. My husband is at Sunnyside, in Cadillac, Michigan. Connie, you should come look at them. It’s a wonderful place. The care is done with love. This place was an answer to prayer. I go and visit and eat my noon meal with Rex They have a couple of openings, check them out.
Not sure where to start,however we need to say that Connie's service in this area ( assisted living , homes) is invaluable! Connie is an absolute pro at helping. She came to my 92 yr. old Mom's home ande if there was and assessed where she may be comfortable . Connie found a few GREAT places locally and even took us to visit. We are still on the fence as we live in Indiana and vacation in Northern Michigan as much as possible. We decided to see if there were any assisted living communities in our local. We started by trying to find a person like Connie in our area. No such luck nobody knew ANYONE that could provide a service similar to Connie. WOW, it is VERY complicated and a LOT harder when you do not have Connie. Summed up " Connie cannot be matched for her professional council, guidance, help ANYWHERE ! Connie is absolutely a life and sanity saver. She found an incredible place (Joy Givers) for my mom and assisted with all the information. Then as my moms dementia worsened, and quickly, Connie went to work for us again by finding another location to handle my moms new requirements. She is truly a gifted wonderful lady who goes beyond the call of duty. You owe it to yourself to put your trust in her. Thank you Connie!
We first met with Connie at Alliance for Senior Housing about 5 years ago when our parents began considering moving from their large condo into independent living. Connie came to their home, met with all of us and explained not only all of the various housing options, but also all of the available facilities and the pros and cons of each. She assisted our parents in narrowing the choices and drove them to visits. Although they decided not to move at that time, she remained an invaluable guide as circumstances changed over the years. She was a constant source of wisdom coupled with compassion, and her continued focus on the longterm picture has enabled their move to a beautiful unit in Boardman Lake Glens, where they will be able to continue to age together.
