I cannot say enough good about everyone in American House. Lynsi is amazing and extremely attentive and responsive to questions, texts, phone calls, etc.. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done putting my 92 year old Dad into memory care, but it was necessary for his safety. There are multiple staff members all around and immediately accessible when needed. My dad is actually very happy and comfortable there. He loves the food, the attentiveness and kindness of everyone there. The icing on the cake is that it was the most affordable and workable place financially, of all the places…

The icing on the cake is that it was the most affordable and workable place financially, of all the places we looked at. So grateful that there are people that really care about our seniors! Thank you so much. NB

The overall experience is great and the cleanliness is very good. Everyone is extremely friendly- like a family. We watch out for each other. Independent living- if you need extra care they'll help you find it - in other buildings. The staff are Very helpful and we have an excellent chef. If you're bored, it's your own fault. Plenty to do. The value for cost is most reasonable for the area. More bang for your buck! I live in an apartment in the lodge. There are villas and cottages here. The people living in them may have different opinions

[name removed][name removed][name removed]and [name removed]are sooo wonderful. Caring and kind. Front desk staff - [name removed][name removed] and others are good. They seem a bit overwhelmed at times. But very caring to our dad. Hospice staff wonderful too. [name removed] maintenance most helpful as well. My dad is not social which is a significant change in his personality.

Mom was at American House Jenison for three weeks. The staff was very friendly. The nurses called me to find out how my mom was when she went into the hospital. They're just very nice. They worked very quickly to get my mom a little apartment there when she was in rehab. It was a smooth transition. They made it happen by coming over to the rehab facility to get my mom all signed up to go to the American House. She was in a studio plus. The food was so much better than the other rehab place. My mom barely ate at the rehab, but she was pretty into it at American House. I think the lighting was a little dark in the hallways. I know they're kind of working to get that lighting updated. It wasn't a real joyful walk from the dining room to her room. Other than that, it's a nice facility, and it's smaller, so they get a lot more personal attention. Upkeep and maintenance were good.

American House Jenison was very nice, very welcoming, and cheery. The people looked like they were happy. I didn't meet a whole lot of staff, but the person who assisted me was fine. He was polite and very informative. The dining room looked pleasant. They have all the same activities that most of the other places do. The reason I didn't put my friend in there is they wanted to put him in dementia care and he is not ready for that.

I visited American House Jenison and toured their independent living. I liked the setting of it and the rooms. The people were very friendly and it looked like I could live there. I was very impressed with all of the staff. Nobody offended me or made me feel icky or anything like that. I just felt very comfortable with them. The place looked very clean and organized, and I didn't feel any kind of tension in the building. It just seemed like it was a place I could live in. Some of the rooms had small balconies, and others had a patio, which I appreciate very much because I love to sit outside on my deck. The atmosphere was very calm, and I didn't feel out of place or uncomfortable. It just seemed like a nice place to be.

I toured American House Jenison. I like the person who gave the tour. She was very welcoming. The place looked very neat. The living spaces were very nice. They had very nice floor plans. They had a beauty salon and a billiard room. The dining room was very nice, too.

I've been to American House Jenison. The best thing was, the bedrooms were large and larger than other places I've seen, but I only looked at a one-bedroom. It was very clean, and the people seemed to be having a good time there. They were out there playing cards and stuff and had a movie room. I thought it was pleasant. The staff was great, very detailed, and very personally involved.
