Baldwin House Senior Living Oakland

We chose this facility initially because it had a warmer, home-like feel to it versus the others. There have just been a few occasions where some of the staff did not seem helpful.

I toured Baldwin House Senior Living Oakland. It was clean. The people seem friendly. It didn't stink. There were people there, the housekeeper, you could see them, and they were already there working. The residents seemed like they were happy. I'd seen some of the apartments they had. They were on the little side, but you don't need a lot of room. The staff was average. They didn't go out of their way to do anything, but they weren't rude or nasty either. They have a beauty salon. They had an exercise room. They had a room. They had a piano in it. They have a community room. They had different things. They can improve on their prices.

Baldwin house allows moving with only 30days notice (instead of 90days) and there is no lease buy out fee unlike our loved one's current communities. Baldwin house did NOT allow opting OUT of dinner/meals unlike our loved one's current community which has reduced the rent we pay by about [fee removed]/month.

I would recommend. Comforting, Great staff .

Baldwin House Senior Living Oakland was clean. It was bright and cheery. The office person went over things well and answered questions well. We were impressed with them. They had ceramic stuff in one room that people were working on. They also have bingo, cards, and dinners out where they take the bus. It all sounded wonderful. The staff was very nice and informative.
