They truly care for the residents and a family atmosphere is observed whenever I visit. My Mother is well taken care of and I can say this is the best Assisted Living Care home in the Ottawa and Kent County area.

I took a tour of the Barn Swallow Manor facility with Valerie recently. From when you step in the door you can tell people are treated like family. The facility has fewer number of beds allowing for the resident's to build relationships together and with the staff. I appreciate that the staff does not turn over, and the residents see the same faces consistently. Valerie genuinely cares for the residents and it is apparent in just a few minutes of talking with her. Thank you for your care and compassion!
We met Val at a very difficult time, as my mother now needs full time assisted living with dementia. Val's help and guidance through one of the most difficult times has been immeasurable. Her knowledge and experience, advice and compassion for elderly healthcare, all aspects; mental, physical, financial and legal were all priceless. Her time and devotion to help settle my mom into this new transition of life (for both her and us, family) were limitless. The Barn Swallow Manor is exceptional, spacious, with a farm country setting. She thoroughly took the time to explain her care procedures, organized computerized system healthy meal plan, and daily patient activities. She is truly a Gift from God. Blessing. Phil L.
My mom has been at Barn Swallow for the last year. I thank God for finding this wonderful home for her. The owner and her staff are the best! They care for her like she is their own mom. An answer to prayer.
The lady that runs Barn Swallow Manor believes in holistic medicine, and the food is all organic. They only had one staff at a time -- one full-time and one part-time. I only met one person, and she was somewhat informative. The apartments were small, but clean, and they only serve six people at a time.
