Our family will forever be grateful to the team at Chester Street Residence in Royal Oak. Our 92 year old father lived there for a year, and the care he received was truly exceptional. The staff treated him with such kindness, dignity, and compassion every single day. They didn’t just provide care — they built relationships. They went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for. What meant the most to us was how they also supported our family. They became like family to us — offering reassurance, warmth, and understanding during a very emotional time. Knowing he was in such loving hands brought us tremendous peace. We cannot thank the team at Chester Street Residence enough for the heart they put into what they do. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated like family, this is it.

Very good value for holistic care for client with very demanding physical care requirements. Staff are very flexible and always available to help navigate various needs/challenges. Staff also very knowledgeable about Health Care system and handling logistics for a variety of needs.
Chester Street residence has the perfect blend of physical care and medical support to address the demanding care needs for our Dad. While his last 6 months proved to be very challenging with multiple stays in the hospital, Chester Street handled all of the logistics, care and support needed to help provide the best comfort. This included helping to set-up hospice and ultimately helping when our Dad passed with navigating a range of needs. We had 24/7 support and it did not matter when we called someone was alway there to help guide us through the next hurdle.
My mom lived here for almost 4 years and it truly turned into her home. She was treated so great by the staff who we got to know really well. They all became part of our family and we were so appreciative of their love and support. I could go on much longer but my family wants to express our gratitude for being so helpful over these past several years. Mom was so happy there and that meant the world to us.
Staff is super friendly... a nice family atmosphere... facility is looking tired. It could use a makeover... but I liked the fact that is wasn't overdone and it was small.
