I was admitted to Christian Park Village for rehabilitation following a severe leg injury that required emergency surgery and extensive recovery. I had significant mobility limitations and needed rehabilitation and assistance. My concerns began with the rehabilitation I received. From my perspective, I spent a substantial amount of time in the facility without receiving the level of rehabilitation I believed was necessary for my injured leg. I repeatedly raised concerns about my lack of progress and the rehabilitation services being provided. I was particularly concerned that, while I was recovering from a serious injury and remained significantly limited in my mobility, my rehabilitation did not initially focus on the injured leg in the way I expected based on my medical condition and recovery needs. I also had serious concerns regarding pain management and medication. I disputed changes involving my medications and treatment and repeatedly expressed concerns about pain, particularly in connection with therapy and my recovery. Another major concern involved the accuracy of my medical records. After obtaining hundreds of pages of records, I found information that I personally disputed and believed did not accurately reflect my experience or what occurred. I raised concerns regarding documentation involving my treatment, pain reporting, wound care, medication history, and other aspects of my care. I also requested additional records and information in an effort to understand how certain entries were made. The response i received from the facility administrator was "its all he said she said." I want to be clear: I am not asking readers to simply accept my interpretation of these events. I am stating that I personally disputed information in my records and formally raised concerns regarding its accuracy which have gone unanswered to this day. In my opinion, accurate documentation is extremely important in a nursing and rehabilitation setting because medical records can affect treatment decisions, future care, insurance, benefits, and how a resident is perceived by medical professionals. I also experienced situations where I believed my concerns were not being adequately addressed. There were occasions when I felt communication with me about my care, treatment, and circumstances was inadequate. As someone with significant mobility limitations, I felt particularly vulnerable when decisions affecting my medical care and placement were being made. I had serious concerns about whether I had been clearly informed of my status, whether I had been provided appropriate documentation regarding my discharge or transfer, and what would happen to my belongings, transportation, and living situation. At the time, I was still dealing with serious mobility limitations and recovery from my injury. The possibility of being left without a safe place to recover created an extremely serious situation for me. However, my overall experience was serious enough that I would personally never choose to return to this facility. I encourage anyone who is currently a resident, has a family member living here, works in long-term care, represents vulnerable adults, investigates nursing-home concerns, or has professional expertise in healthcare or resident rights to pay attention to these issues. My experience raised serious questions for me about rehabilitation, pain management, documentation accuracy, communication, resident rights, transfers, and discharge procedures. I have retained and requested documentation relating to my experience and have raised formal concerns regarding matters I believe deserve further review. This is my personal account, based on my experiences and my understanding of the events that occurred during and following my stay. Other people may have had different experiences. Mine was serious, distressing, and had significant consequences for me. For that reason, I cannot recommend Christian Park Village based on my personal experience.

So far not impressed, my dad was sent there from Up health system in Marquette. I felt like my presence was a nuisance, like they were already judging my questions. So he’s there and because uphs didn’t complete the paperwork I am unable to have any input in my dad’s care. Nobody even gave me a chance to ask what kinds of things he might need … sad situation all the way around.

My Mother had been in this home since 2017. I couldn’t ask for better care. She is loved and she also loves all the staff. Everyone. All my concerns are always taken seriously and discussions have been had and solutions have always been satisfactory. I’m happy she is there. They CARE! Love them all. ❤️🤗

The care by all staff is wonderful!

What a wonderful and caring staff! The clean and welcoming atmosphere and a dedicated team add to the charm of Christian Park Village.

Only complaint is having to wait for a cna to help get to bathroom. And coming back to help. And not getting a shower the 9 days I was there. 2 good sponge baths. Thher wise everyone was so nice and respectful. Keep up the good work.

Nurses..aides..kitchen..activities..physical therapy were all excellent..i hope one day they can have more of a home setting as this is the last home many will know..sitting room with fireplace..cozy bedrooms..i know i know..but would be nice..food was ok but i think older people would perfer more basic old fashion meals like beef stew..hearty soups meatloaf baked potato..scrambled eggs always seemed dry and crumbly?? But as far as care was excellent
