4.6 · 21 reviewsI toured the Courtyard Manor of Howell. I liked that they record everything, their bowel movements, how much they eat, how much they sleep, when they get their pills, and everything. They have an alarm if they get out of bed. It just seemed friendly. The cook was there, and I said my husband loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and she said, "Well, I make those too." So that was cute. They were just very nice, but it's just the money more than the people. I liked that one the best because it keeps track. The staff was bubbly and nice.
Families should feel at home, be comfortable going into the kitchen, show up for lunch or dinner and don't be afraid to help with feeding. Ask questions! The staff don't know what you don't know. My aunt was also a hospice patient definitely talk to the hospice nurse. My aunt loved coke so I brought the little bottles, she also had a hard time swallowing pills so I brought individual cups of applesauce to help her swallow. Label personal items, clothes to wheel chairs.
Courtyard Manor of Howell is truly unique with the quality of care. I'm so thankful we moved our mom there. All the other places don't compare if your loved one needs assistance 24/7. The staff is phenomenal!! Mom is so much happier since we moved her there. Thank you Courtyard. You are wonderful

I can not express how much I appreciate the care my Mother got at Courtyard . The staff is loving and caring. It is a home. If you are looking for a place for someone you love look no further.

My mother was in another facility and we decided to move her here due to some concerns. We’ve been very happy so far. The staff is great! The layout of the facility gives a feeling of a home versus an assisted-living or medical Center, And allows good observation for the staff. The building is showing a little wear and tear, but nothing major. The meals are just average, but they feed all the residents at once in a very nice open room, and include everyone so it has a very pleasant atmosphere instead of a cafeteria feel. As for cost, it’s much higher than the previous facility but I feel it’s worth it given her advanced dementia needs. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.
It's a good experience and I would recommend it. They are always on top of it. They play games. Each day there is a new activity for them. If they don't want to play they try and give them something else to do.
Our loved one was here for a short time with hospice care, but we have to say this was the best place for our loved one. The quality of care our loved one received was wonderful and overall we were very pleased. He was not able to have the meals, but they looked very appetizing and they always posted the recipes up on the board. Based on the experience we had we would definitely recommend this community to other.
