Nurses are so mean. Guys, grab your spearguns and follow me!!!! Time to avenge mommy!!! >:3
This facility was unacceptable. My brother complained the entire week after his admission, on Saturday, that he was not receiving enough oxygen. Instead of this facility realizing that perhaps they were not able to meet his oxygen needs they simply did nothing about it. I purchased an oxygen saturation finger monitor to check his oxygen level myself. His oxygen level was 82! The normal rate is 100% and anything lower than 90% is critical. My mother and I returned the following morning to take him out of there, however, we were informed by the physical therapist that he had been "taken out…
This facility was unacceptable. My mother and I returned the following morning to take him out of there, however, we were informed by the physical therapist that he had been "taken out this morning". When we arrived at the emergency room where he had been taken we found him on a ventilator. He had become unresponsive in the ambulance en-route, his oxygen saturation in the ambulance was 60%! He nearly died! Do not trust your loved ones care to the unqualified "un" professionals at this facility. Everyone knows that nursing homes are suspect for mistreatment but when a family has nowhere else to turn we must put our trust into their hands. The physical therapists seemed to be the only ones who showed any compassion, they were excellent with him and would have helped him gain his strength back had the so-called skilled nursing staff done their part. I would not recommend trusting anyone at this facility. The social worker told me a bucket full of lies. 1, reason we did not receive a call when he was taken to the hospital was because they did not have our contact number in his chart. Really? Because that was the first thing I made sure of upon his admission so obviously someone did NOT do their job entering or updating the emergency contact info into his chart. 2, that we were "welcome" to look at his oxygen levels, that they had been stable. The fact is I knew it was critical on Sunday at 82% and by Monday it was only 60% so I'm sure they will "Cook their Books" to make it "appear" that he was fine all along. 3, he repeatedly complained about not getting enough oxygen for an entire week. He also asked to be moved out of a room where the room -mate had the heat up so high even I was uncomfortable visiting. The extremely warm air and room temperature added to my brothers difficulty in breathing. On Thursday they moved him to a room with a resident whom, for no fault of his own, made very loud verbal noises and screams which further added to my brothers stress level. This place is a death trap and my brother was very fortunate to make it out alive although he is still very critical and on a ventilator and in ICU as well as on antibiotics for an infection somewhere in his body that they are trying to find. After reading another terrible review on here about this place and the laundry room violation I am not surprised.
DONT COME HERE i was recently hired and rooms were disgusting and horrid smelling. There dinning room was atrocious and laundry hadn't been done or even sorted correctly which is a huge violation and could cause germs to spread but that wasn't the worst part, i sat in the break room and heard three CNA's bad mouth a resident and even said and I quote "don't leave me alone in a room with her". Not only did I hear that but I also watched several CNA's walk past and giggle at a man in pain on the floor. I would seriously recommend not staying here
Wow,when I first got there they bent over backwards. The therapy department was great. Food was good but never enough for a big guy like myself, many times the food was missing from my trays. I was never given a shower because of understaffing issues in the 50 days I was there . The CNAs didn’t work with the nurses and felt they didn’t need to answer to anyone. Many times I was put in the wrong size brief because they claimed there was no bariatric briefs available in the building. When I could have my girlfriend wash me up not much hot water. And NO Heat in the Rooms on 9/28 when I left. Sadly the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing cannot run the building by themself with a few LPN and RNs. The corporation Sava Senior Care is cheap and understaffs it’s building in Fenton at Crestmont. Sadly I had to write this review after I seen patients walk out while I was there. Then it became a big deal with security and locking the doors after the fact......
I arrived to check my grandmother in and there was no one there to greet or help us. I had to find her bed on my own. I had to go find someone to bring a wheelchair. I made notes about her diet but they were not followed. I had to return to my life out of state. I wasn't sure she was in the best place. It seemed clean but the staff seemed cold. I wish I had made a different choice. She died very quickly after being there.
I’ve been a patient at Crestmont for over a month. In the month and will be here finishing my physical therapy learning to walk again. Since I’ve been here I’ve had a amazing staff from the Nurses and CNAs that work with me each day to the fantastic staff in physical therapy and occupational therapy. The dietery staff and food service is excellent and far better than the last 4 nursing home locations I’ve been in for my MERSA. This is the very best location I’ve been at in the 4 years I’ve had MERSA in my blood. Before coming to Crestmont I was in another much larger facility that had huge problems and lots of abuse and that’s why U of M refused to send me back to my old facility in Howell. Thank God Crestmont is a caring and attentive nursing facility. The administrator “Teddy” is doing a amazing job as well as her entire staff and my social worker to make my facility stay here as positive as it possibly can be. U of M Ann Arbor is my hospital of choice and if I ever need physical therapy and in house medical care facility again Crestmont Nursing Facility is where I will be coming back too if needed. I’d rate Crestmont Nursing Facility in Fenton 100%. Best Regards and Thank You for My Outstanding Care John McCormick ~ Patient
My Mom is a current resident, I couldn't be more thankful for this great facility ! My Mom has dementia, and not easy to move around, great people like Vivian, Teresa, Dawn and the program administrator have been so caring to my mom, which means the world to me. If your considering where to have your loved one cared for, this facility and the employees are wonderful !
My mother is receiving excellent care at Crestmont. The activities director, social worker, and nurses have been very helpful and supportive. I don't think my mother would receive better care anywhere else.
