Put simply - EVERYONE is treated with dignity. Residents, staff, family, staff. The quality of care given to and for the residents is excellent.
Morning shift loves to mess around and risk leaving seniors unattended. They dont want to take care of our family that are so important to us, why? Because we are not important to them. They are no help and should be replaced. How does the shift with the most workers produce the worst results? Just a bunch of bad apples
I was so very impressed with my tour of Downriver Estates. All the staff like each other and playful banter fills the halls creating a positive atmosphere! The Executive Director Jake, is very hands on. He impressed me as the type of leader who empowers his employees. It shows in the low turn over rate in staff. One woman has been there 18 years! Also the head of the Memory Care dementia social development is VERY experienced person on how to motivate and guide people with dementia. She’s passionate about what she does. Also the head of the Memory Care dementia social development is VERY experienced person on how to motivate and guide people with dementia. She’s passionate about what she does. God bless you all for your dedication to people in the last years of their lives. The main reason we are not going with them is distance. It would take us almost a half hour to drive there. I wish they were closer. UPDATE: In February we moved my Dad there and have been very happy.
What stood out is the Cleanliness of facilities, communication with staff and friendliness of staff, on-site rehabilitation facilities, location and accessibility,
It was hard at first but our sister [name removed].Iis adjusting well. She likes the Daily activities and they take the residents for a ride on Wednesday as long as the weather's nice. The staff is very friendly and knows that she needs extra care and help. My sister [name removed] and I are happy with downriver Estates and would highly recommend them.
The staff that's my Dad like a king! He says "they never have a bad day" ! He is very happy there and that gives me peace of mind.
I placed my mom here after seeing a few places. The staff treat the residents with respect. They have activities, outings, 2 court yards. The facility is secure and offers memory care. PT on site. The food is good. The staff answer the phone. Management is available and willing to listen. Nowhere is perfect and the price is up there but all facilities are expensive. All in all this is one of the best facilities downriver. This is comming from a nurse who has seen many facilities and also cared for residents here in the past. I saw first hand the level of compassion before I had to make the decision that my mother needed a team of people to care for her. Hope this helps.
he care giving staff are great. They really care about the residents. The rooms are a nice size, with private bathrooms. My mom is in a single private room. The meals are quite good. I just think that they should have alternative meals available, in case a resident doesn't like what is being served.
