Grace Senior Living Rochester Hills

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Grace Senior Living! My grandma is 99 years old and has been living here for about a year now. Like many seniors, she really wanted to stay in her own home and was hesitant about moving at first. As her granddaughter who visits her almost every day, I can genuinely say that GSL has exceeded all of our expectations. The biggest thing my grandma talks about is how well she is cared for. The aides and staff are always so kind, attentive, and on top of everything. They truly know their residents and make them feel loved and cared for every single day. She also constantly talks about how good the food is, which always makes us laugh! One of the things I appreciate most is how much effort goes into making life fun and meaningful for the residents. Michelle, the Activities Director, is absolutely incredible! The amount of thought, care, and creativity she puts into events is amazing! There is always something going on, whether it’s exercise classes, salon days, visits from dogs, holiday parties, dance performances, or even a petting farm. She does such a wonderful job making sure residents stay engaged and have things to look forward to. As a family, we also feel so included. We are invited to holiday celebrations and special events, and Michelle often sends photos of my grandma participating in activities and having fun. Those little updates mean the world to us and give us so much comfort when family members can’t be there. Every single person we have met at GSL has been kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. When you walk in, it feels like people truly love what they do and care about the residents like family. Watching my grandma go from not wanting to leave her home to being comfortable, cared for, and content here has meant everything to us. If you are looking for a senior living community for a loved one in Rochester Hills or the Metro Detroit area, I truly don’t think you will find a better place than Grace Senior Living. As a volunteer Therapy Dog team, we have had the opportunity to witness the genuine care the staff has for the patients. They provide so many activities to engage the members and increase their quality of life. We enjoy coming every two weeks and the guests enjoy interacting with the dog. Smiles all around!

Beautiful facility and friendly staff

We’ve had a really positive experience with Grace. From the beginning, the staff has been welcoming and truly takes the time to get to know the residents and families. What stands out the most is their focus on overall wellness—not just physical care, but making sure residents are comfortable, engaged, and treated with dignity every day. The team is attentive and responsive, and when we’ve had questions or concerns, they’ve been willing to listen and follow up. It gives us peace of mind knowing our loved one is in a place where their well-being is a priority and where the staff genuinely cares. We’ve also seen a lot of positive changes recently, and bringing in the new Wellness Director was a great decision. You can tell there is strong leadership and a real focus on improving care and communication. No place is perfect, but you can tell they are always working to improve and do what’s best for the residents. That effort really shows.

The most awful experience here. All you hear is the technicians using PROFANITY at other technicians in front of the residents. Completely unprofessional and in front of FAMILY! On top of it all, you have the biggest turn over rate. How could you trust them with your loved one??? I would highly NOT recommend taking them here, in the hands of ratchetness - find somewhere else to go!
