Hampton Manor of Van Buren

Memory Care is horrible and I would not advise anyone to put their loved one there. The staff is over worked, under paid and it's under staffed. They promise to check in on your loved one every 30 minutes but that is absolutely not true! And it does not happen. My loved one on many occasions had to try to use the bathroom on their own and whenever we were going to visit would not be fully dressed. I was told by a residents family member that he was sitting in the hall and his underwear when they came to visit their loved one. These places are supposed to be trustworthy and you should feel safe with your loved one there. You definitely have to be there every single day to keep them on their toes and make sure they're doing their job which they half did. I've had numerous conversations with various staff members who are frustrated with management and do not like the way they handle things there. There was one resident that escaped the memory care side which is supposed to be super secure. They are out of compliance on many levels and will be reported. They draw you in with the elegant look and all of the flash appearance but that's not what's most important. If you're thinking about putting your loved one here in the memory care area DON'T DO IT!!
