Amazing staff maks you feel like family. Jenny and Jimesa works together to help discharge go smoothly. Victor with therapy is amazing. They were wonderful and took care of me.
Hillcrest rehab rehabilitation center was wonderful for my mother. She enjoyed her time there and all the help that she was given was very wonderful experience. The food was good. The staff was wonderful. Nursing was great rehab was wonderful for her. She enjoyed the company of all the residence there and even participated in the activities and even the activity Director was wonderful with the people and they were so pleasant to be around. Going to miss everyone there and have nothing bad to say from head to toe other than it is an older facility, but it does have a smaller group of people…

Going to miss everyone there and have nothing bad to say from head to toe other than it is an older facility, but it does have a smaller group of people there so whether it be day shift second shift or third shift everybody was wonderful. I was worried about her stay there, but she did great and having a great staff from the administrator to the nurses, helpers, aids, cleaning ladies, social services, cooks it made her stay easier for her, any questions I had they were there to answer(Doctors , wound care) Excellent rehab experience
I've been very happy here and I'm just going home for a while. I'll probably end up back.
Our mom was at Hillcrest for rehab after a partial hip replacement. We were impressed with the team; they were caring. The atmosphere was busy throughout the day and therapy was definitely encouraged.
They was so nice to me
My experience at Hillcrest Nursing Center was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival to admit my mom for rehab, the atmosphere was chaotic, with loud music blaring from one of the nurse‘s cell phones outside my mom‘s room. The room itself felt more like a supply closet than a living space—tiny and poorly furnished, with furniture that was falling apart. I had to request a chair to sit on, and the ones provided were filthy, stained, and in dire need of replacement. While the aides were friendly, I noticed one of them wearing slide sandals with socks, which raises significant safety concerns. This kind of attire poses a risk, especially when transferring residents, as it could result in injuries from slips or exposure to hazardous materials. It made me wonder what other OSHA safety violations were overlooked by management. The overall cleanliness of the room was bad. There was thick dust on the window blinds, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been scrubbed or waxed in years. I wish I had remembered to take photos because you would have to see it to believe it. The next day when I told the facility social worker that I wanted to transfer my mom because it wasn’t a good fit, she asked questions and listened to my concerns with kindness and compassion. However, when the director abruptly entered the room, her response was less than reassuring. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, she made excuses and tried to talk me into staying. It was obvious that her concern was for her facility (business-wise), while my concern was for the safety of my mom. I stopped her and had to be adamant that my decision was final. Then the social worker kindly initiated the transfer process at my request by making phone calls and working closely with the new facility I had chosen. Navigating the facility was another challenge; there are three sets of double doors with no handicap buttons to assist with entry and exit. As we were leaving, I struggled to get my mom through the doors in her wheelchair, and although there were several staff members watching us leave, not one offered to hold the doors open until I explicitly asked. I wasn’t going to write this review, but that alone prompted me to do so. Overall, my experience at Hillcrest Nursing Center was distressing, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone. There are better options in Muskegon County for those seeking care for their loved ones.
