Independence Village of Brighton Valley

Horrible food!! My mom is always complaining about the food. Undercooked or overcooked or just wierd meal choices

i absolutely love independence village, all the staff are very friendly, they host the best events, my favorite was the dog show! very clean i always enjoy coming here

I used to work there and left they are very unprofessional with the caregivers that they hire. They hire under age. Kids obviously tell them that they can’t pass meds because they’re under age, but it happened morphine and all kinds of stuff was passed by under age kids constant drama. Workers will talk to the residence, however they please ..The boss was one to also start drama problems that would be addressed would never be fixed. Just talked about to other workers and there was a point where one caregiver beat up another caregiver in a residence room because of them not listening the problem and or not caring but at the end of the day, the building is very beautiful. Front desk is very nice and everybody else just the caretaking side at this business is a solid two out of 10. OSHA has been called and there HR team sucks as well I brought all these issues to them and they don’t do anything about it either because the bosses are friends EDIT TO OWNER RESPONSE: I think it’s very funny how you guys are trying to cover yourself after my review why would I come on here and state that morphine was being passed by minors if it was not happening I’ve seen it with my eyes. I’ve seen the minors signed the papers saying that they passed the meds. I’ve talked to HR. I’ve talked to my boss. Nothing was ever done and don’t lie.I walked out because I was being blamed for something that I had nothing to do with and yes, I made TikTok‘s. It’s a free country. I had permission from my boss to make them not on the clock in the building and in all honesty, I don’t need permission to make and post videos from you guys if I’m not clocked into your time, but I understood how that was a problem and I made them off the clock to comply with the boss, but people steady, kept watching my page, trying to get me in trouble saying that I made them on the clock, which I did not. Why would I do that after I was told not to I’m allowed to make videos when I please, if I’m not clocked into your guys’s time You guys cannot tell me what to do. Don’t try to justify yourselves because I have receipts for everything pictures included recordings as well. I really could have took people to court for harassment but instead I left because nobody ever listens there. All you guys try to do is make yourselves look good like your comment now And I didn’t have multiple violations. I had one and after that warning, I did what me and my boss agreed upon but people wanted to keep harassing me I understood I should not have made TikTok while I was clocked in on the clock. I admitted I was wrong. I apologized and it did not happen again and all reality you guys don’t listen to your workers obviously because if you did, there would’ve been further investigation when I asked you guys for help I have the biggest heart and I absolutely love what I do. I’m the most passionate caregiver you could ever have and it’s sad. Every time a facility has something wrong like this happening. They want to try to throw their caregivers under the bus not here. And I have other people Who worked there as well who are completely on my side not saying you guys have a bad place all I’m saying is you guys don’t listen to your workers and you guys could definitely do a lot more by listening to the people that care for your guys people

The staff is amazing and the building is very clean and well put together, it is a very friendly environment! Everyone works very well together and always puts the residents first, I highly recommend visiting independence village of Brighton valley!
