We went to see my cousin after he got out of the hospital. We arrived and were greeted at the door. They asked who we were seeing and pointed us to his room. The facility was clean and smelled clean and fresh. The rooms were painted bright and cheerful. The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were very informative and had great attitudes especially towards the patients. My cousin could not say enough kind things about the staff and his room. This is an absolute pleasure for anyone who is staying here care wise, information wise and recouping wise.

Lakeview Manor has been the number one choice for our family. They have exceptional staff that really care about their patients. They are accomodating. They have private rooms and transportation to my appointments was free of charge.

My uncle that didn't want to go to a nursing home absolutely loved it there. He loved the staff and thought the therapy was very good. He will recommend Lakeview to his friends.

I was so impressed with everything that this facility offered for my friend. The staff was always so friendly and kind and Sue in the business office was such a helpful resource. I want to thank you so much for taking such great care of John S while he was with you.

The staff is warm and wonderfull. My mother in law was a patient here and got the best care. The employees were all great. She especially liked the transportation driver because he was so friendly and talked to her to her appointments and back! I will be recommending them.

Eric is a nice guy and a great driver. He was dependable and didn’t leave until the Dr got me admitted. I was more worried about him driving back in the dark. You have a great staff and the therapists are out of this world!!

My aunt lived in Lakeview 5+ years. She was legally blind, had memory loss, and for the last few years was confined to a wheel chair. I visited her random days, about 4 times a month, at all hours. . She was always clean, dressed neatly and appropriately, hair braided, and comfortable. She liked the hot meals, the staff attention, and her favorite tea, which they brought her between meals. The administrators and staff were good communicators. On my visits, I had frequent interactions with both. They were prompt, receptive and helpful when I had questions. I was made aware of the need for booster vaccinations and changes in meds and was given good advice about Medicaid paperwork. I was invited to quarterly meetings to discuss my and their concerns about her mental and physical health. Lakeview was a good fit for my aunt (she passed in late October 2025 at age 99.) I think they took great care of her.

I urge anyone before they admit a loved one to this facility to do a little research other than google reviews. Medicare.gov will give you some insight about Lakeview Manor. Also, google Ciena Helathcare lawsuits. In my opionion they are strictly a for profit organization. The best interest of their patients and employees are secondary. My 89 year old father was admitted to Lakeview since he couln't care for himself. Shortly after he was addmited he had spine surgery and was to receive physical therapy. They didn't follow the hospitals discharge papers. An appointment was suppose to be made for a urologist. The appointment was never made by them. There seems to be a lack of communication among the employees. During a followup visit to the neurologist, it was recommended that physical therapy should be continued. I'm not sure what was in the report Lakeview sent to the insurance company but an authorization to continue therapy was declined. The decision to decline therapy was appealed and overturned. When we wanted to make an appointment with my father's primary care physician, we were told that he was under their care. They were worried that insurance wouldn't pay for their physician and the primary care physicain. We even offered to pay for it out of pocket, but they would have no part of it. Finally, a meeting was held and we were told that my father was healthy enough to go home. Within less than 24 hours he was rushed to the emergency room. That was the only thing they did right in my opinion. How did this happen when their doctor (Theoria Medical) has billed the insurance company at least once a week? It was determined my father had a ulcer with a blood clot attached and was bleeding internally. He was in diapers. How could they have not seen the black tarry stools that indicated internal bleeding? That didn't just happen overnight. Needless to say, when my father was discharged from the hospital, he didn't return to Lakview Manor. I'm sure this review will be answered with their standard reply. They will state how sorry they are that they didn't meet our expectations and want to improve. Our expectations didn't include our father rushed to the emergency room near death. There will be complaints filed with state of Michigan and Medicare. Hopefully, this will not happen to someone else.
