Rachel and the staff are wonderful! Very caring, hardworking people. I know dad is getting the best care and he loves the food. The facility is getting some great updates and is very welcoming. We're thankful for Leisure Manor!
What a beautiful lunch today at Leisure Manor!😋 A fourth of july cookout!🇺🇲
I happened to arrive just as transport vehicles arrived to move in new folks from Lake Orion. Seemed Lake Orion had a huge waterman break and folks had to be relocated to Richmond. Wow, everyone pitched in and assisted and once more it was lunch time and all the new folks needed fed. The entire staff got to work and made it all work. New folks felt welcomed, fed, and comfortable and all because the entire work staff worked together. The feeling was homelike, friendly, and so so welcoming. I am totally impressed!
I had my dad living with me and I was providing his care. He was in hospice. It had gotten to be more than I could handle so I had to place him in assisted living. This broke my heart. The woman that runs the facility relieved me of my worries. He spent his final 16 days there. During this time, his care was exceptional. She does an amazing job running the facility. They worked very well with the hospice nurse and aide. I was there a lot because I wanted to spend as much time with my dad as I could. The staff was very kind, patient and caring. My dad still had his full mind and he told me that other than wanting to be at home, he was happy with his care and all that worked there. I really liked it because it is a small facility. The woman that is the manager/nurse, knew every resident and interacted with them. She isn’t the type to hide away in her office. She runs a tight ship. It is very clean, and well staffed. I am very grateful he was in a great place in the end.
I have reached out to Leisure Manor of Richmond that I was referred to, and they seemed to fit the bill pretty well, but I'm just taking it slow. The manager there, Tracy, is very knowledgeable and very friendly. She showed me through the facility as much as she could with COVID. They are very respectful of the residents' health. I could only see a couple of places and look through windows, but I would rather have that. It's nice to know that the management there is really considerate about the folks that are living there. She was very thorough with me. I've called her back a couple of times, and she's been very generous in answering questions. It seems like it might be a really good fit for my husband. She's keeping in touch, and I'm keeping in touch, and hopefully that when a decision is made, their facility will still be available. They're a five just on their openness for sharing information with me, answering all of my questions, and taking phone calls when I've thought of other things. Tracy has been very nice. They provide meals and snacks, but the nice thing is they care for seniors, 60 years old and older, but they also care for patients, and they care for people who have problems walking; there are wheelchair folks there. They've only got 20 people there, so they are really able to get to know the people, take care of their needs, and monitor them. They have outdoor picnic tables. The building backs up on a wooded space, so there's wild animals that walk through, they have a bird feeders set up so people can look out at the birds, and they have a patio with a picnic table on it, so during the nice weather they can go out there and eat. The public spaces, the eating areas, and the communal room from what I could see through a door with glass looked really nice and very homey.
Visiting with a loved one, was so impressed with the outpouring of care by the staff. The caregivers work together so diligently as a team, very attentative to the residents, communication with the residents and families is superb, facility is clean, was offered to stay for lunch and enjoyed a home cooked meal. True family feel. Thank you so much to the Leisure Manor caregivers for treating everyone like family.
Leisure Manor is a wonderful senior living community that offers exceptional compassionate care! I have been doing senior living placement for over 8 years and the owners are very involved in the care of their residents! I would highly recommend Leisure Manor for your loved one!
The staff here are very accommodating and treat you like their family. This facility is clean, updated, and in a quiet part of town. It's just down the street from the cute downtown Richmond area, too!
