Extremely terrible experience. My boyfriend's dad was sent here after a bad fit of COPD for physical therapy and care. Horrible food options. Portions extremely small for someone who is weak and trying to get stronger. They let patients roam the hallways into the rooms. Dementia patients coming into his room and harassing him. Eventually he caught pneumonia from people wandering in and out of his room. Pretty much on the brink of death fighting it off. Didn't have any sort of lock down when a rhino virus was spreading throughout the building causing him to get sick. Someone shut his door on a hot day, making the room get up to 80°/90°. Spent some time pressing the call button, no one came. Spent some time yelling and hollering for someone, no one came. Probably around an hour to 2 hours someone came and opened the door to let some cool air in. Nurses not attentive whatsoever. Easily he could have had an accident and no one would have noticed for hours. I am warning anyone who is sending a loved one here PLEASE reconsider. If you read any review to make up your mind, PLEASE consider this review. I cannot even express how terrible he has been treated here.
This place is a joke and disgusting. My grandma was in there for rehabilitation and it wasn’t clean and the food smelled gross we moved her out of there. Also father in law fell and laid on the floor for an hr before anyone came to check on him and he was pulled out of there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
During my visit today, the first nurse was super upbeat and helpful to my dad. She even did a little dance in the room. I loved her approach. The second nurse was very open and friendly with me and showed appropriate concern for my dad. She asked me questions to see how she could better help him thru his rough moments. That showed her true heart for the people she cares for. I can't express enough how much these things meant to me today. ❤️ Thank you.
Had a wonderful experience visiting and old friend. I think the atmosphere and care is fantastic.
Had a wonderful day with staff.
When first arriving, you're not told everything you need to know that's available to you. What wasn't good, is the light switch near a rooms entrance turns both lights on, which become a problem when one person wants their light out during certain times and pulling the light cord only makes your light brighter. Beds & pillows are most uncomfortable. Thin bed clothes leaves better to be desired. Air conditioner's cooling isn't felt in any desired direction. TV channels get randomly changed while viewing something already, as if someone else in the building is also connected to same device, which can be annoying trying to fight to keep what you been viewing. A shared room with another isn't good, when a curtain is the only divide, doesn't give much privacy. Room wall divide would be much better. Curtains are only appropriate for those who stay no longer than a few hours and not even one day. Physical Therapy is more like a placebo. Short workouts don't help. Mostly inadequate equipment / devices that does very little. Food & drink is ok but still needs quality improvement. What's not good is when you are missing things that suppose to be served on your list. Most of the staff are nice, thoughtful and friendly but the quiet few (like programed robots) needs to be gone. As they don't make residents feel any better during their stay. Can cause mishaps. People like that shouldn't work with the public, but in factories. Some are so busy in trying to get things done, they don't remember to carry out a request by resident. Bird sanctuary is a feature I liked best. I can't help but wonder why there's no bird bath thing for them. I didn't get that feel of home away from home. It was more like limited confinement among a bunch of crazies.
For my first time there it smell like a nursing home, the staff was friendly the patients looked clean and tidy, I used to be an nurse’s aide and it passed my test, my sister passed away on July 3 and they took good care of her I would recommend it for your loved ones, we made many friends there and still planning on visiting them too.
Monica M is amazing ! She was the nurse for my Mother and was so caring, attentive, and nurturing to my Mom. I was in Alaska and was worried about my Mom. She had a stroke and it would be a few days before I could get there. Monica M would call and give me detailed updates on my mom's care. That helped reassure me that my Mom was ok! Monica M was absolutely wonderful and I'm grateful that I had her as my nurse
