Never recommend anyone to stay at this rundown, filthy, awful smelling facility! Our father received the poorest care. He was a high fall risk which obviously wasn't a concern to anyone. Unfortunately he obtained sespis for which eventually was put on hospice for. This facility should be looked at by the state as well as Jayco!

My Uncle has been there since late January for physical therapy rehab because he had to go to McLaren hospital because of the Edema in his legs and we couldn't keep it under control with Lasix pills at home. This has happened 2 other times in 6 year period. The 1st 2 times he was sent here and was out within 2 weeks. This time about a month in i find out they Said he has COPD, Congestive heart failure , put on full time oxygen which hes never needed at home???and recently AFIB! He never had any of those issues prior to entering Medilodge.???? Why is that only after he entered your facility??…

Why is that only after he entered your facility?? and he has never had any of those things prior to coming to this facility. Last Sunday my uncle was sent to McLaren for respiratory failure!! We have a rule between Uncle and myself to at least communicate 1x per day. Couldn't get ahold of him that sunday. Monday after I got outta.work at 5pm I called up there and asked if they could tell him to call me. No one even called me back, he couldn't because his phone was in his room and was sent to McLaren sumday afternoon. I received no call telling me of the respiratory emergency. So monday at 8pm I wentdown there and Noone could tell me where they sent him!!! It never got put in his file on computer. Kelly Jo finally tracked him down for me!! Both.things are unacceptable. When his Medicaid got approved I also was not informed and never told our copay amount until After May 5th when billing starts for the next month. So we have an outstanding bill because I told them I needed to know if we had to pay out of pocket. Just his mortgage, 2 vehicle payments/ car insurance and Utilities over $2,000 per month. He recoeves $2,711 Social Security. All the rest of his bills takes all the rest of his S.S check. Plus i pay $ 500 per month towards his ither payments. I told Jackie we cannot afford much for a copay and is why i needed to know right away what our payment was. So we were on the hook for 2 motns payents of $1,314.. his automatic payments that come out of his checking put his account to zero within 5 days of his check hitting his bank account. I work construction and had only been able to work part time when he was.home. The company i was working for part time didnt have enough work until recently for full time work for me. Jackie Ebelt and I didnt even get his application criteria meet until April 20th. Every time we had all the paperwork on my end, Medicaid needed something more. Maybe get the application updated to reflect all the items that are not it. I also went back Wednesday and got tue rest of his clothes because they had no idea how long he'd be in McLaren. Staff assured me I didnt have to take his.things because his room is held for him unless he's going to be weeks in the hospital. They discharge him Friday. So when I went to bring him some clothes and cple hours after he was back at Medilodge he wasn't in his room and was empty. Now you put him in a room with another guy and his room is.still empty today. SundayJune 21st?? We had to cash out life insurance and I left multiple messages with all the office Ladies because i never heard anything back that I was waiting on that check to arrive in the mail. It just came Thursday . Doesn't matter because there is no one there to except a payment. Also I was assured any statements from Medicaid would be sent to yhe house so i know whats going on. Somehow anything from medicaid only came to Medilodge and i found them when i grabbed his things . I cant get anything rectified no matter whom im suppised to deal with because no at Medilodge calls me back. I picked up more work recently knowing uncle wont be coming home soon. And they told me he only gets 1 pain pill per day now?? He was flipping out. 10 mgs of Eliquist for Blood pressure and 3-4 pain pills he normally gets did NOT cause his respiratory emergency. I was yold by McLaren Drs. So i had 1 of the only 2 aides on duty make copy of my POWER OF ATTORNEY The only communication I've had in over a month has been from business manger Ashlei lpokn for payment.

Update: They moved me to another room. It is smaller. Harder for them to use the lift to get in and out of bed. The wifi is so weak I can't do school work or watch YouTube. My roommate has her TV so loud I get a headache. Male residents don't belong in females rooms unless wanted in there. Seems like every night or at least 4 or 5 nights a week. Same Male resident enters my room, and tonight I had to call the front desk to get staff to come get him. It took 20 minutes for staff to come get him. Recently had surgery and should not be screaming to get him out my room. Come Monday I will ask to…

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My grandfather was transferred here for rehab after a weeklong Stay at the hospital. I would often pop in at random times to check on him especially in the morning and midnight staff had left him soaked in his own urine , I was also told that one of his midnight aids that was attending to him left three hours prior to her shift ending so he was left three hours without an aid Not to mention in the afternoon, I’ve watched a specific aid come 15-20 minutes late for her shift with a terrible bedside manner. The physical therapist who originally seen him to come up with a “plan” had the worst attitude ever asking “well what can we do for you” I don’t know … maybe your job??? I had also specifically asked for my grandfather to be out of bed in the morning to eat his breakfast considering he was just in the hospital for a lung issue, and I did not want him to aspirate yet he was still in bed when I would arrive eating meals in bed (sometimes they wouldn’t even let him know breakfast was there and they would not cut it up) and when he would get up in the wheelchair, they would leave the big oxygen tank on the back of the wheelchair which dug into his back.. in which once case I came in and it was completely empty. He was there for one week before we decided to pull him out and he had only received one shower even though every morning he was soaked in urine… the room he stayed in was absolutely filthy and I have photos to back that up. I did sit down and have a talk with the director of nursing, which got me nowhere. The Communication between staff is very poor, even after leaving a note in the room stating certain things . There was only maybe 2 aides and 2 nurses I have seen in the whole week he was there that seemed to love their job everyone else made it seem like a paycheck. My grandfather said he’d press his call button and no one would come , and he’d have to scream for help just to use the bathroom so he wouldn’t soil himself … completely unacceptable… My grandfather has been home for two days and is already capable of walking to the bathroom by himself and getting up on his own rather than laying in a bed and rotting away when needing the help he needed to get stronger. This place should be investigated and I will be speaking with his insurance in regards to his stay …my family and I were doing most or some days ALL of your your aides work, I’m so glad we made the decision to bring him home. I would not send my worst enemy here.

A friend was placed in Medilodge (East China) for rehab. I have never been in a medical facility that was so disgusting. The smell walking down the hallways is nauseating. The bathroom which she had to share with three other people needed a thorough cleaning. I asked the aide where the railings were for the bed and she said they are not allowed to have railings. Maybe that’s why you hear of so many patients falling out of bed and breaking a hip or worse. I do not blame the workers because they are understaffed. Before my friend could start rehab, family pulled her out and found another facility. The State of Michigan Health and Human Services need to make an unannounced visit. Before you place your loved one and this facility do a walk-through in all areas. I can guarantee you will be looking elsewhere. Again, nothing against the staff, just the owners.

This place needs the health department to step in and take over. Filthy and smells. My poor loved one had to stay here and I left immediately wanting to take a shower. Take better care of your facility, these poor patients don’t deserve to have dirty heat boards filled with dust and grim and disgusting carpet they can trip on.

This Place is filthy and full of bed bugs

Horrible, my Aunt has a roommate who screams non stop for up to 3 hrs, This has been going on for 3days.
