Regency at Shelby Township Rehab and Nursing Home, is exceptional. They deserve a 5 Star Review, due to their overall interest in their patients well-being. They go out of their was to ensure that all of their residents are well cared for. The place is immaculately clean. The staff is very attentive to the patients and families needs and wishes.
Andrea the dietician made it possible for me to get enough nutrients and calories through my to feeding tube maintain my weight. Rebecca the unit manager took care of any needs I had, if I had a problem she had the solution. Melissa the social worker gave me the knowledge of pace, which I'm going to now. Tonia my nurse was always cheering me on and challenging me to get better so I could go home. all the aides cheered me on as well. I had excellent care at Regency at Shelby from everyone and would recommend it to anyone. Sincerely, Linda Dzuris
The staff at this nursing home are truly wonderful. They are kind, compassionate, and always treat the residents with dignity and respect. Their dedication and genuine care make such a difference, and it's clear they go above and beyond every day. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be well cared for.
My mom spent 6 weeks here for physical therapy and the staff was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and prompt as well as professional! They always made sure she had everything she needed and that call button was always near her, even when sitting in the wheelchair! Everyone was always so pleasant and answered all the questions we had while she was there! Our family was very happy we chose Regency, we were definitely at ease with leaving my mom there for the stay.
Nursing and CNA team provided incredible care. Clinical skills and attentiveness were outstanding. The entire staff was so good with their attentiveness, consistently proving to be helpful, patient, and ready to assist with whatever my mother needed. PT and OT were all wonderful. They focused on rebuilding her strength, and improving her movement. Front desk staff were always incredibly nice. I highly recommend this facility to any family looking for top-tier care.
My family had a positive experience with Regency at Shelby Township. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the staff treated residents with kindness, compassion, and respect. Communication was professional, and the team worked hard to ensure residents were comfortable and cared for. The administration team is awesome—always approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the residents and their families. While no facility is perfect, we appreciated the dedication of the caregivers and the support they provided during a challenging time. We are grateful for the care our loved one received
Equal blame – Regency and Hospital. Wife had serious infection after knee replacement revision. Spent a week at Beaumont Troy. Was clinically stable but needed IV antibiotics every 4 hours for 4 weeks (plus oral meds). Too much to do at home. Was discharged to Regency for skilled nursing care early Sunday afternoon. By Noon on Monday, Regency had yet to provide the required antibiotics, nearly 24 hours since prior dose at hospital. Missed 5 doses of one antibiotic, and 3 of the second one. This pause in treatment is very dangerous for serious infections. I chose to to take her out and bring her back to ER since unknown when she would get needed meds. Nursing Director’s last promise was by Noon. We left facility about 12:30. She was re-admitted to hospital to re-stabilize her condition, and build back antibiotic levels. Too soon to know if this will impact treatment or recovery. Hospital says they shouldn’t have accepted her if they didn’t have meds. Regency said pharmacy is not open on Sunday. Clearly no one was paying attention to medical needs. Regency admissions did not read, understand (or care?) about medical treatment requirements. They could have refused admission or delayed until they knew they could provide medications. Hospital Discharge Team wanted to hurry up and discharge her, Regency wanted to fill a bed. Neither understood wife’s medical condition, which is a problem. (I have spoken with hospital patient relations department as well.) Not going back to Regency. Place might be OK for non-critical care, but wouldn’t trust it for anything requiring diligent medical treatment.
My aunt was recently at Regency Shelby and she wanted me to leave a review on her behalf..... The people were extremely friendly and the food was the best I've had at any facility. You could definitely tell the cooks actually put there heart into the food!....Thank you for taking care of my aunt!!!
