4.3 · 132 reviewsmoved here three months ago and honestly wish i'd made the switch sooner. i get to do my own thing and have my privacy, but there's always someone around if i need help. they've got activities going on all the time but nobody bugs you about joining in.
the staff knew my grandmother's morning routine after day one. she's on several medications and they manage everything perfectly. i trust them completely with her care and that peace of mind means everything to me.
We go every Sunday, it is always clean and welcoming. Doesn’t feel like just a facility. We've gotten to know a few other families over the years, and that sense of community has added to our visits.

Serene Gardens is phenomenal from the staff, always friendly smiling faces. The building is top notch! No unpleasant scents, beautiful and bright! Jenna is such an incredible leader! Very empathetic! She takes much pride in her building.
Today I stopped at Serena Gardens in Sterling Heights. I was looking at communities for a famiky member and the experience from my moment I walked in was top notch. My conversation was with Jenna - Executive Director, she listens to understand what the family is looking for. Staff is friendly and interacts with residents and individuals are visiting. If you are looking for a community stop in and See Jenna. You won't be disappointed.
Having a family member at Serene Gardens has given us so much peace of mind. From the very beginning, everyone has been welcoming, compassionate, and genuinely caring. It’s clear that the staff treats the residents with kindness, respect, and patience, and that means everything to our family. We especially want to recognize the Executive Director Jenna. She has been incredibly attentive, approachable, and truly invested in making sure the residents receive the best possible care. She takes the time to listen to families, addresses any concerns promptly, and creates a warm, positive environment throughout the community. Knowing our loved one is in such caring hands has been a blessing. We are grateful to Jenna and the entire team at Serene Gardens for everything they do and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an assisted living community.
DON'T BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! I'm sorry I let my friend come here. Worst place so far. My friend has been at Serene Gardens around 90 days and only received about 2 bed baths. The scalp is itchy. Scratching has the scalp bleeding. When my friend asks about a bed bath they get the run around like "I don't see you on the schedule." Talking to upper personnel appears to be useless. My friend tells me many other negative/bad things about this place but I don't want to write a book.
As a Hospice Care Consultant for St. Maries Hospice I visit many Assisted living community's. What is compelling me to rate Serene Gardens of Sterling Heights is the warm feeling I felt as soon as I entered the building. The receptionist greeted me with cheerful Hello, and how can I help you? She showed me where I could sit and wait until Jenna Shelby (Executive Director). Jenna welcomed me in and led me into her office. We had a wonderful conversation and she answered my questions. She walked me to the doors after the meeting, she thanked me for coming in and gave me a hug before I left. It is not often I visit a community that from the minute I walk in the door felt welcomed to the minute I stepped out of the community. I rate Serene Gardens a 5 star ratings and look forward to working with them.
