The Brook of Grayling is such a beautiful place. The manager Lacey is a caring person. Very easy to talk to and makes you feel like , you can talk to her about anything. The staff at the Brook are amazing and will treat , you're a loved ones like their own family. I highly recommend The Brook of Grayling.
I love the Brook of Grayling. The staff are amazing. The building manager goes above and beyond for the residents and with the community. It's our favorite place to go on Halloween! Always clean and tidy
The staff at The Brook of Grayling have been taking great care of my mother for 2 years now. Lacey and the staff have been wonderful!
My mom moved into the Brook about 2 months ago. They have been so accommodating and so welcoming to her. She feels as if she is part of one big family there. All the staff and residents all really care for one another! Lacey always has her door open when I just stop to ask questions. Katie the RN there is awesome too, making sure my mom is getting exactly what the her doctor is recommending she needs. Also, the food director Shelly has also been very accommodating to my mom dietary needs. We (mom) are beyond happy with her new home!
Very clean staffed fully memory care is amazing smells fresh at all times great food for residents and always clean clothes and rooms
This facility is over priced, neglectful, lack of cleanness and not state licensed. My Mom was in memory care for 3 too many years. Moms room was rarely cleaned, she was left in soiled undergarments and clothing, they lacked in showering her, when we moved her out her glasses were gone, her hearing aid and her dentures. I found staff sleeping on the couch in the unit. Her clothing and bedding would come up missing. I felt staff threw them out. The patio for them is unsafe for the wheelchairs and walkers that the residents use. The walk is uneven on the sides. No sun protection for them. Cabinet door off in moms bathroom was never put back on. Toilet seat was worn horribly. No activities for them so they were allowed to wonder into each other rooms. Started off at the lowest price for memory care but raised to the highest price. Was told because of more care for mom, but she wasn't being changed, showered, her room was not cleaned and on several occasions was dressed in soiled clothing. This is NOT a place for anyone's loved one.
100% if you care for your loved one this is not the place for them! They are not state licensed. Memory care was so awful for my grandmother to be in. They give out expired medicine ( 2 years expired). They don't check on residence that need help as often as they should! My grandmother had to crawl out to hallway after being on ground forever to get help! No one cleans like they should which 100% falls back on the management but they are so oblivious to everything that happens! Had to get her out of the place! It was very sad to go in and see the residents and lack of care they get! They also let her stay out on hot days which caused sunburn because they don't apply sunscreen or have sun canopy to block sun, my grandma has dementia so she can't comprehend length of time she was in the hot sun. Having them change her , do laundry, bath her was such a struggle. How much money you pay, you will receive the minimum care ever! Don't get me wrong their was always 1 or 2 workers that care but don't last long because poor management! So like I said 100 % never put your loved one in the memory care side!
Both my mom and dad were in Memory Care at the Brook. Lacey and her ENTIRE staff are dedicated, compassionate, and attentive! Mom passed away in January and dad passed away in May. I’m so blessed that they were surrounded by such wonderful, caring people during this time. If you are seeking placement for a loved one, I highly recommend the Brook of Grayling!! We spent a lot of time at The Brook, and I feel that we will always have our Brook family!
