My family and I are devastated by the care more so lack of care, my sister-in-law received at Lodge of Taylor. She passed away after her health declined dramatically, and in our family’s experience, The condition of the bed sores she developed was absolutely horrific. Seeing the extent of them was heartbreaking and something our family will never forget. A vulnerable person should never be allowed to deteriorate to that point while under the care of a facility whose responsibility is to protect, monitor, and care for its residents. We trusted this facility to care for someone we loved. Instead, we watched her suffer and decline. No family should have to question whether their loved one is being properly cared for, repositioned, monitored, cleaned, or treated with basic dignity and compassion. My sister in law deserved better care, better attention, and better treatment. Her life mattered. Her suffering matters. And our family will never forget what we witnessed. To the staff who failed her: I hope you understand the weight of what happened and the pain your actions—or lack of action—caused our family. There should be accountability when a vulnerable resident develops such severe wounds and deteriorates under a facility’s care. I would strongly urge families considering Lodge of Taylor to ask very difficult questions, visit frequently, and pay close attention to the condition of their loved one. Do not assume everything is okay simply because someone is in a care facility.
The ladies in the activity department are awesome, The go above and beyond to assure that the guests participate in activities and any other needs that occur. Faith and Joslyn are the most caring individuals. I’m so happy that they are part of the team caring for my brother
This place is a blessing. I work full time with kids. My mom was a fall risk and couldn’t be home all the time. So we decided on rehab and moved her to the lodge. Naturally afraid and wondering did I make the right choice? The staff were all inviting and understanding. I cried I laughed and at the end I noticed my mom forthright in! She made a friend while we toured the facility and I love that for her! I needed a little help and I’m so thankful for the support and love the lodge at Taylor provided ! Thank you
I wish I could give zero stars. My dad has had nothing but trouble since being here. Everything about this place is horrible. Understaffed, slow response times, they don’t care about your loved ones. Do not send anyone here. Your loved one deserves better than this. I promise you that.
Staff needs to learn profession and how to communicate without Detroit street slang. Nursing staff could communicate without a condescending tone. Alot of problems could be avoided if the facility had a phone in each patient room to communicate with family and friends instead of assuming everyone uses a cellphone and has one. You shouldn't have to call the front desk to get a message through at the staffs convenience. The therapy dept is the only positive dept in this facility. They give great care.
Staff was so friendly and facility was clean! Thank you for all you do for our seniors.
If anyone wants to stay here beware this place is horrible the only person that cares is the one cleaning lady.It sucks so bad. Nobody cares or take good care of the patients. Nobody answer call lights for hours on in.they always act like they have attitudes. BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!!!!
