They make sure that you just don't sit in your apartment all day and that you go out and take part in their activities. Also, if you're not up to cooking any of your meals, you can go down to the dining room, and they will make a full, beautiful, good meal. They had someone come in and play the piano. They were warm, very hospitable, and welcoming. They made sure you also had a good time while you were there. We had a dessert. You could have coffee or tea, too. It was…

The Village of Lake Huron Woods is very, very nice. They have their own bus. They were friendly, compassionate, and caring. They make sure that you just don't sit in your apartment all day and that you go out and take part in their activities. Also, if you're not up to cooking any of your meals, you can go down to the dining room, and they will make a full, beautiful, good meal. They had someone come in and play the piano. They were warm, very hospitable, and welcoming. They made sure you also had a good time while you were there. We had a dessert. You could have coffee or tea, too. It was homey. The place was very well kept and clean.

I live in one of the cottages and at this time they're building, I think, 48 new cottages that will be leased sometime in 2026. It's very nice. I'm in one of the cottages, which isn't the main building where they have the dining room and stuff like that. My apartment's equipped. I'm at The Village of Lake Huron Woods. So far, so good. The rooms are very nice. I live in one of the cottages and at this time they're building, I think, 48 new cottages that will be leased sometime in 2026. It's very nice. I'm in one of the cottages, which isn't the main building where they have the dining room and stuff like that. My apartment's equipped. I can do my own cooking and it has a washer and dryer and all that stuff. The staff is very friendly. I don't have them clean here. I do my own cooking, but I have eaten in the dining hall and it's very good food. The nurses are very nice. I haven't had the housekeepers do any work for me, but when I've talked to them in the hallway, they're very, very friendly. The activities are very good. They've got somebody that does a really good job. Last week, we were able to go on a road trip with them, and we went to a casino and had a day trip. It was very nice. I pay quite a bit, but the people who have half the income I have, pay a little lesser rate, which is fair.
My mom has lived at Lake Huron Woods for almost 3 years and she loves it here. She loves the activities, the food and the staff. Everyone is so thoughtful and caring. She says it is like living on a cruise ship. She loves the buffets!

BEST decision my parents ever made! LHW always looks and smells great! There's always something for them to do. They love the food in the dining room and enjoy getting pampered every week by getting their laundry done and apartment cleaned. Great staff! Everyone is always helpful and is always out enjoying mingling with the residents. Two thumbs up!!
Horrible new building manager. Very rude to residents and some of the other staff in the building. She had no business running a building full of seniors. Heard many residents complaints about her and [name removed] in front office while i was there with residents.
My in laws is doing well since their move to this community. Everything is working out well, and we pleased with their move to this facility. We know they are safe, and in great hands. They have a good staff, and they are taking great care of them. Their next door neighbor is a friend they use to have in town. They provide nice meals, and offer good activities. It is a nice community, and we would definitely recommend it.
I have no complaints of how things are going for my mother since she has made the move into this community. The staff have been helpful with the transition and have accommodated our needs to the best of there ability. Her apartment has been a perfect fit for her and has all the amenities she will be needing. We have had a chance to try a few of the meals and those have been fine as well. I am looking forward to her future in her new living environment.
I have called several times and left messages for both the General Manager and the Leasing Director. No one ever answers the phone nor returns my calls or responds to my messages. How do I get in contact with this facility???
