very incompetent management and a handful of lying, LAZY, uncaring caregivers and med techs that will leave your family members in their own waste! and management will do nothing to hold them accountable! honestly wouldn't let my dog live here.. but there is very few workers that do try their best given the circumstances!

At first we thought Vista Springs was a great place, and if it weren’t for the terrible, lazy management who seem to always be having a private pizza party in and who never come out of the office, it does have the potential. Many of the staff are caring, but unfortunately the really bad staff overshadowed the great people all too frequently. No matter how many times me and other resident’s families complained, Kris and Melissa wouldn’t do a thing to change their behaviors. Kris became quite rude each time I tried to discuss it with her especially in my family member’s last weeks of life. When…

When special events were held for the residents and their families, it seemed that there were more of management’s family there than residents. Even though the main cook was a wonderful person who tried her best with I am sure a very limited budget, the“chef” prepared meals were mostly pre-processed Sysco or Gordon Foods meals. Weekend lunches were mostly dry sandwiches and hot dog prepared by young kids. The office staff repeatedly went through my family member’s belongings even though I constantly told them not to. So many other resident’s families had the same concerns and like me, did not want to disrupt our family member in the last months of their lives. Hopefully the new owner will make some major changes and bring in much better management, get rid of the bad employees and do something to reward the great ones.

honestly i loved my midnight crew. but management (mostly kris) was ALWAYS the problem.

One star is being generous.

Best place thus far and no complaints-staff is attentive and caring. Get more updates on mom’s daily activities here as well, nice that they actually engage the residents in activities vs sit on their phones🤩

This is an amazing facility . All the staff , including the hospice nurse , Karen , takes great pride caring for patients - including my loved one .

Exceptional Staff & Personalized Care This thoughtfully sized community—just 20 rooms for assisted living and 20 for memory care—allows for exceptional one-on-one attention. Families consistently praise the staff for being “super friendly, kind, and accommodating,” going above and beyond to ensure residents feel heard, respected, and well cared for The high staff-to-resident ratio is often described as “impressive,” delivering a level of attentiveness rarely seen elsewhere. Clean, Comfortable, and Home-Like Atmosphere The facility is kept spotless, with gleaming hardwood floors and well-maintained common areas. Multiple reviewers mention feeling a true sense of home, with plenty of natural light, open spaces, and the option to personalize rooms with one’s own furniture and decor. Vibrant Activities & Family Inclusion Residents and families enjoy a full calendar of engaging activities—arts and crafts, group games, exercise, balloon volleyball, movie nights, and outings—designed around fun and social connection. Families also get daily updates on activities and their loved one’s participation via quick messages, keeping everyone connected and informed. The open-access policy—providing key fobs so relatives can visit anytime—speaks volumes about the facility’s commitment to transparency and trust . Delicious, Flexible Dining Options Although no dining experience is perfect, many families note that meals are well-prepared by an on-site chef who accommodates dietary preferences and alternative menus whenever possible. For picky eaters or special needs, staff are happy to customize meals to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Transparency in Pricing Vista Springs maintains a flat-rate pricing model with no hidden charges. Reviewers express appreciation that billing is clear and predictable, reducing financial stress for families. ⸻ Summary Vista Springs Washington Place truly shines as a caring, well-run assisted living and memory care community in Macomb County. The intimate setting, compassionate team, thoughtful activities, flexible dining, and family-first transparency all serve to create an environment where seniors not only feel safe—but thrive.
