My husband, Peter, had been at Wellbridge for two years. He passed away on August 20, 2026, and although these last days have been heartbreaking, I will forever be grateful for the incredible people who cared for him and loved him. Peter didn’t just know the staff—they became his friends. There was so much laughter and humor between them on a daily basis. Peter had endless stories about his travels around the world and all the crazy things he had done throughout his life, and the staff didn’t just politely listen. They engaged with him, laughed with him, teased him, joked with him, and genuinely enjoyed his stories. There was a wonderful give-and-take between them that made him feel seen and valued. I can’t tell you how many people were crying, sobbing, hugging both of us, and telling us how much they would miss him during that last week of his life. These weren’t people simply doing a job. They had formed real connections with him, and the love they showed him was unmistakable. You simply can’t put a price tag on that. From the cleaning staff and laundry staff to the kitchen staff, nurses, and caregivers, Peter received so much attention, love, dignity, and support. He had relationships with people throughout the entire facility. They knew him, they talked with him, they laughed with him, and they cared about him. Before Wellbridge, Peter had been in two private homes, and there was absolutely no comparison. The food at those places was often awful—white Wonder Bread with processed cheese or meat for lunch. Wellbridge was completely different. They served incredibly well-cooked meals. Peter didn’t love every single thing, of course, but he loved most of it—and those spare ribs? They practically melted in your mouth! During the last week of Peter’s life, while I sat vigil with my husband, the staff even brought food to me three times a day if I wanted it, at no charge. They were taking care of both of us. They were loving on both of us. They made sure I was fed and supported while I sat beside the man I loved. I will never forget that kindness. Peter was able to get his hair cut there. There was entertainment, fun, karaoke, and plenty of opportunities to socialize. Even when it was difficult to get him up and into his wheelchair, they never gave up on encouraging him to get out and be around people. They understood how important that interaction was to him. And there was laughter. So much laughter. That is one of the things I will remember most! It breaks my heart when I read some of the negative reviews. I’m not sure what those people experienced, but it was a completely different reality from ours. Our experience was one of compassion, friendship, humor, patience, and love. And when we did have an issue, Cortney, the social worker, was fabulous. She always got back to us, listened, and worked to resolve whatever needed attention. So, from the very bottom of my heart, thank you to Ligia, Selena, Tatiana, Kimberly, Wendy, DC, Reese, Jeremiah, and so many others whose names I can’t remember. I wish I could name every single person who touched Peter’s life. You made a profound difference in his life—and in mine. God bless every one of you. I’m going to miss you tremendously. And then there’s one more thing that absolutely amazes me: so many of you have told me that you want to come to Peter’s celebration of life. Can you believe that? That says everything. Thank you for laughing with my husband. Thank you for listening to his stories. Thank you for teasing him and letting him tease you back. Thank you for making him feel like a person, not a patient. Thank you for taking care of him. Thank you for loving him. And thank you for loving both of us when we needed it most. I will never forget any of you. And I know Peter wouldn’t want me to say goodbye without a little humor, so I’ll just say this: You all better show up to his celebration of life or I KNOW he will haunt you. ❤️ God bless you all. Thank you for giving Peter two years filled with friendship, laughter, dignity, and love!
If this was only for the floor nurses, rating would be 5! They were great taking care of my mom. Special call out to Rosa who spent a great deal of time in my Mom's room watching over her and keeping her safe. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and seemed to care. My only concern is the follow up communication. Everyone contacted me when Mom was admitted, but the promised weekly updates didn't happen. In fact , I learned when she was discharged that a follow up appointment had been scheduled for her surgeon the next day. Made it several days prior to discharge.

Based on my experience i would never recommend this facility. Our family’s experience was extremely negative from start to finish. We brought my grandmother here simply to regain strength in her back, and instead we witnessed what we felt like repeated neglect. We don’t feel her meals were monitored. Her call button was broken for over a week, and instead of receiving extra help to get to the restroom due to her back injury, she was put in adult diapers. Whenever we raised concerns that she seemed unwell, we felt dismissed and told she was “fine.” When she was finally sent to the hospital, we learned she had multiple serious infections. By then it was too late. She passed away shortly after. Our family is devastated and believes her decline could have been prevented. We feel that my grandmother deserved compassion, respect, and care. Based on our experience, she did not receive that here.
Worst place ever. Do NOT let a loved one be admitted here. Completely under staffed. Doctors were horrible as well. We will be filing a complaint to the State. Hopefully this facility is shut down soon.
Management never passes trays unless state is in the building. The management cares more about the employees passing trays out for meal service than the actual care of residents. Even if we have a resident entirely soiled in the bed, they want us out there passing the trays or else we are side eyed. They want CNAS ONLY to do all of the passing & don’t care if the nurses do or not. Most of the employees they keep around are very lazy and do not care about the residents at all. The nurses In particular are not good people & will let residents wait for hours for morning medication. I would think twice before sending your loved one here. The facility might look nice on the inside, but the people they have running the facility are not good people & only put on a fake smile to state and families.
Patient is in room with no one showing up for four hours after pressing the call button. No one to assist in getting up. Phones are off at 8:00 with no way to check on your loved one. This place is criminal!
Food was Good , Nurses were Great .Most of the CENA s were Excellent ,just a Shortage . They avoided me because they would be required to wear a gown, due to their Perfume would send me into an asthma attack..I Truly Loved the Physical Therapy Department, They were Hard to part with ,and Impossible to Forget ,Every single One of you are Angels, Changing Lives Every Day.
