4.1 · 39 reviewsThis is a newly renovated facility and as soon as you walk in the door you can just feel the love and compassion that the staff provides the residents with. I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in the door. The residents were participating in an activity and each of them appeared to be thriving and happy.
The rooms and overall layout of the community is good, and due to COVID the activities have been effected. The food is healthy and reasonable. I would recommend this community to a family or friend.
I no longer live in this community. I was supposed to get certain cleanings of my space. I didn't see my cleaner more than twice in the time I was there. I believe I was one of the younger residents. Some of the staff were short, snippy, and unkind. When I moved in, it was supposed to be independent living. I would get yelled at by the staff when I would stick my head out of my room. There was no communication to us about the pandemic, and if anyone was sick in the community. I believe everyone was declining in health since we couldn't be out of our rooms. The community didn't hold their side…

The community didn't hold their side of the contract. The food wasn't good, menu wasn't good, and it wasn't cooked well either. I wouldn't recommend this community to anyone.

My Aunt lived here briefly until she needed more care. She absolutely loved it. She loved the outings with other residents, and also the food. I joined her for lunch a couple of times last Fall and I thought the meals were just as good as any restaurant. While she is now in Assisted Living, she was really happy with her stay while she was here. Thank you so much.
Excellent community for my independent Grandmother. The residents and staff are all very friendly, and the community is very quiet and peaceful with all the trees surrounding.
Attentive staff, good variety if activities for the residents, excellent meal quality. Also, the staff has been very careful with Covid processes. Thank you!

My Dad and I searched the Grand Rapids area for several weeks hoping to find the "perfect community" for him and we found that community at Waldon Woods. So many of the facilities we toured left my Dad feeling overwhelmed and frustrated, and when we toured Waldon Woods, he immediately loved the facility. Which for me, was a huge relief finding the perfect environment for my Dad to leave his home of 55 years and move to. Thank you to all of the helpful folks at Waldon Woods, who've made the transition as smooth as possible for my Dad.
