From the first time Mom visited American House in Farmington Hills, MI, Assistant Director, Lisa, made her feel welcome. When Mom moved into her apartment, her smile returned, her loneliness disappeared, her friendships flourished and she became a member of a very special family! During the time Mom lived there she was treated with kindness and respect by all members of the entire staff. The entire American House staff are truly amazing. From the first time Mom visited American House in Farmington Hills, MI, Assistant Director, Lisa, made her feel welcome. When Mom moved into her apartment, her smile returned, her loneliness disappeared, her friendships flourished and she became a member of a very special family! During the time Mom lived there she was treated with kindness and respect by all members of the entire staff. The entire American House staff are truly amazing. [name removed] and all the Ameeican House team were kind and considerate for my mother's respite stay. [name removed]found a way to have my mom stay during my 5 day vacation. The faculity was clean and maintained including my mom temporary apartment. The medical team made sure she had her meals and meds each day. My mom said she enjoyed her stay. I would definitely entrust her care to AH Farmington Hills

Everyone has been very helpful and the place is so clean and i would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far
The facility charged over [removed] per month for full assistance yet many days they did not assist my mother with her bath's, take her down to meals or make sure she took her medicine and I also found pills on the floor. All of this was discussed with the facility. I would not recommend this facility to anyone needing additional help. It's okay for people who don't need assistance. For those you need transport to the dining, help with bathing and medication - this is not the place to put your elderly parents.
The staff are very friendly. The common areas are clean and warm. Housekeeping is good. I would recommend this facility to others.
American House has been a great experience. We feel a sense of comfort that my mom is cared for, has access to activities that she enjoys, and is making some new friends there.
We picked this community, because It seemed so bright, homey, and friendly. I would recommend it. I would move there if I needed it and could afford it.
