4.0 · 88 reviewsApproximately six months ago, I transitioned my bonus father from another facility in East Lansing to Bickford - Okemos. The previous facility reported that he was experiencing "failure to thrive." Since moving, he has shown remarkable improvement, and the Palliative Care nurse has indicated that he no longer requires her services. He is much happier now. I have great appreciation for Chris and the other staff members; they are consistently attentive and responsive whenever any concerns arise. Overall, we are very satisfied with his care. Couldn't be happier!
A very great and welcoming place. The staff are really caring and go above and beyond! The directer is efficient and caring and truly one of the best we have had here!
Absolutely the Best Director, and the Best Senior Assisted Living in Michigan!!!!! Happy Go Lucky Caregivers, Just Like Home Environment, the most Sweetest Residents, and centrally located!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As a caregiver, I've seen how much compassion and dedication goes into providing quality care every day. It's a welcoming community, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, caring place for their loved one.

Bickford of Okemos is a very homey and fun place! Caregivers are so helpful and kind. There is a large variety of choices for meals- from salad, to entrees and of course desserts! The apartments are clean and well maintained. Chris the Executive Director goes above and beyond to help everyone and with a smile. :) It’s worth visiting and the courtyard- relaxing with birds and flowers🌺 You feel like you are right at home.
For a place that is supposed to be helping and providing care, Bickdord falls short. Bickford only cares about the money they bring in. The way they treat their staff and residents is not humane. Their is a massive lack of empathy. Bickford pushes the message that they believe in the higher path. They disguise this new "Montessori" program as giving dementia and thier other residents a "purpose." The residents pay thousands of month to have Bickford use the resident to do chores because they gutted all their man hours. Using residents ,who pay money to be there, to do the work staff is supposed to do is wildly unethical. Bickford is just getting worse and worse. God speed to anyone who lives there still.
