4.2 · 13 reviewsI toured Care Cardinal - Macatawa. It seemed like a very homey atmosphere. The staff was fine. She was cordial. The facility seemed very clean. It was kind of like a central living area with a fireplace and television and a lot of nice seating. They did have a lot of outdoor seating. The living room has a nice and cozy atmosphere.
I love the atmosphere here. It's very home-like. Staff takes good care of me. Even my grandkids like to visit me here!
Mt dad has been living at this facility since 2021. I live 2000 miles away and never have to worry about him. Staff and management keep my informed.

The community has been helping my brother for a few years. The physical facility is well maintained and the staff are great. Residents are always a top priorities. The staff and administrator always answers my questions and keeps me updated.
My brother is in assisted living at Care Cardinal - Macatawa. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and very helpful. It's kind of family-oriented. I know on Friday they take them to some kind of a senior center where they play bingo and stuff like that if they want to go.
The house itself is nice. The residents can be a bit overwhelming and don't know how to respect boundaries. The majority of aides are nice. Time of medications needs work. Also make sure you get a clear understanding of the house rules. You lose your independence and individuality in this home. The setting is nice but take your time in making a decision about living here or anywhere if you are able to take that time.
I toured the Care Cardinal - Macatawa. It's assisted living and the staff was very helpful, everything seemed very acceptable, and the location was nice and not too far away from a local hospital. Everything's cleaned well but the rooms were a bit on the small side. I don't know if it's the same thing with the others because that was the first place I visited.
My Dad has had a difficult time getting old and not being as independent as he is used to being. The supervising staff have always looked out for dad and tried to help him enjoy his new home. Since I live thousands of miles away I've been very thankful for them. During my visits the residents and staff have been kind.
