My mother-in-love is currently a guest. We came from Texas to see her and we were quite impressed. The staff was super sweet, offered overnight accommodations, came and checked on her often. They offered education to us with options for her care. The area she is in smelled good and was clean. I am happy for her, thank you for that.
Left my grandma with a broken leg for over 2 days. Don’t send your love ones here.
Some of the staff are friendly here, and seem compassionate. The brief stay my mother had while at Hoyt Nursing was a decent one, however, upon her death everything changed. I realize the urgency for vacancy at this establishment, but within the hour of being notified of my mother’s passing, all of her stuff was packed up and placed in a back hallway; within an hour. Upon arriving to Hoyt Nursing, I was greeted with condolences and warmth by a few staff members, and they even helped load my vehicle. The ugly parts of death regarding legal red tape paper work I loved me speaking with the a terribly rude lady named Jessica in billing who answered no basic questions, gave no sense of direction of who should contact her to get the information that’s needed, and offered no warmth or condolences, AND THEN told me the establishment would still be billing insurance, even though my mother had been in the hospital for since the beginning of September; this is only adding on additional stress in discomfort.
Wonderful place to not only work but for the residents but the family members as well.
Nightmare! Hell! Extremely horrible! Ignorance, NO compassion or empathy whatsoever! Staff stealing from patients constantly such as a cash card, a wheelchair that belonged to the patient. Staff gave the patient a child's busted up wheelchair. They have stole patients clothes, and every time patient got moved to a different room, more things were again missing. Meds not given according to Dr.s. orders. Bed sore wounds unattended causing tissue deterioration down to the bone, patient called for an ambulance but staff refused the ambulance services. Staff Dr. told patient if they left in the ambulance that they could not return and that they would lose everything, Threat? Absolutely!!! Patient ended up in the hospital the next day, admitted and put on very strong antibiotics through a pic line. Staff ignored the antibiotic pic line schedule. Staff constantly ignoring patients diaper changes causing horrible chaffing. This patient is also paralyzed from the waist down. No choice but to contact state medical board. NO human, or even NO animal should be treated in such a horrific manner! 5 star???!!! Not a chance!! - 5 ⭐
The food is amazing. I had lunch with a family member and it was awesome! The staff was amazing. Very friendly. I met the kitchen mgr (Cassie I think her name is) and she was an absolute dream! She listened to my concerns and she validated them (which I appreciated more than you will ever know). I wish everyone I encountered there had this level of compassion for the residents there!
