I was in there recently for short term rehab. Some staff members are rude and abusive. I was not always given the correct medicine. I needed a CPAP machine which they had told the social worker would be there; it was never provided. The doctor ordered a nebulizer and nebulizer treatments 4X/day (even their doctor) since I was covering from pneumonia; never provided. I asked the nurse she said I had to request it (doctor's orders. I was given drugs that were not the ones prescribed; and I am not talking generics! Very friendly professional, well maintained.
Aside from few very friendly kind staff, the overall experience my Mother (a recent patient at Lake Pointe) and my siblings and I had was one of perplexity as to how this place hasn't been shut down by the state yet. Intravenous medications were not ordered and were not administered repeatedly; staff repeatedly took in excess of ten minutes to respond to emergency calls signaled by my Mother (to include when the patient beside my Mother suffered a stroke five days ago); meals were consistently so overcooked they were rendered inedible; medical appointments were not kept (off site) due to…
Aside from few very friendly kind staff, the overall experience my Mother (a recent patient at Lake Pointe) and my siblings and I had was one of perplexity as to how this place hasn't been shut down by the state yet. Intravenous medications were not ordered and were not administered repeatedly; staff repeatedly took in excess of ten minutes to respond to emergency calls signaled by my Mother (to include when the patient beside my Mother suffered a stroke five days ago); meals were consistently so overcooked they were rendered inedible; medical appointments were not kept (off site) due to various blunders made by administrative level staff; my Mother was left in her own urine multiple times more than an hour beyond requesting she be assisted with changing; there is no way of safely securing valuables; patients are forced to endure televisions at loud volumes as there are no headphones and/or headphone extension cables; they sent my Mother home without necessary medical necessities in place, yet assured all of us everything was in place; they forced my Mother to sign various documents under the threat of being sent away from the facility at 10:10pm in a taxi (with a compound leg fracture and external hardware protruding out from her leg and foot at all angles); staff would change my Mother's IV without gloves on their hands; medical orders of her treating Doctor were not followed, even after a secondary order was issued and forwarded to the facility; and somehow this facility has the greater rating on Google above all the others listed as covered by Medicare. Please do extensive research and go around this place at all costs.
My friend‘s mom was brought into LakePointe Senior care today for rehab care when I got there and checked everything out there was feces on the floor with bugs crawling the bathroom smelled like an outhouse and the rooms were just disgusting. Staff didn’t seem to think there was a problem with it. They still left the feces on the floor even being there for over an hour and nobody came to clean it up and patients were still using the dirty bathroom. It was four patients to one bathroom. We had to call an ambulance and have her go back to the emergency room to get reassigned a different rehabilitation center.
The staff at LakePointe are truly Angels on earth. They are so giving of themselves. My Mother has been in and out of the facility for the past year, and thus has been in different rooms. The Aides, Nursing staff and Physical Therapists are exemplary, experienced, patient and kind. Further, several Aides who cared for her previously visit her daily, telling her she's their favorite and give her a genuine hug. My father visits her for many hours daily and is also treated with incredible kindness. We are amazed by the thoughtfulness that is provided. Sincere apologies that we don't know everyone's names. We would like to recognize Lacrisse and Taylor as well as the Aide who visits her daily for a hug, and the gentleman Aide who also visits and assists. Words can't describe our gratitude for your support and kindness. My Mother is entering hospice and we are so grateful she will spend her remaining days in such a supportive environment. Thank you to everyone for going above and beyond!

My grandma passed away. I called thinking they sent her to the hospital. The lady who answered the phone said I can’t give you any information. I don’t have my computer or paperwork to even see if you’re on her papers which I am on her paperwork. so I had to go to the nursing home to get information. Come to find out, my grandma passed away and was there. Shame shame on them just because that lady didn’t want to see if I was on the paperwork, she couldn’t tell me anything so I had to drive to the facility Makes me sick
