My mom was a resident for 22 months. During that time she was treated with dignity and respect by all staff members. Many took time out of their day to have small conversations with her. Mendelson has daily activities and a new movie theater that resident's can attend. Hospice was extremely helpful when she began to transition and she was able to stay in her room until her passing.
All my ratings are 5 stars except this one. Both my parents were there. I moved them to a different living place where my dad got scabies. Mendelson is still worse. Don't be deceived by how nice it looks. Peace and good luck with your family member. 🩷
If I could give this 0 stars I could. This facility is nothing but drama, negligence, and favoritism. If you’re not a yt woman that’s been there for years, be prepared to get screwed over multiple times. There are many conflicts of interest , relatives in higher positions working closely with staff. And they ignore the liabilities they have with their selection of workers. Sorry excuse for a manager & they are all complacent in regards of the negligence of the residents. The food below par, the afternoon shift-SPECIFICALLY is full of older staff that do nothing but gossip about the residents…

And they ignore the liabilities they have with their selection of workers. Sorry excuse for a manager & they are all complacent in regards of the negligence of the residents. The food below par, the afternoon shift-SPECIFICALLY is full of older staff that do nothing but gossip about the residents health, HIPAA laws being broken around the clock because they discuss conditions where everyone can hear. There has been multiple reports to management about abuse and neglect, but when it’s certain workers, they just shrug it off and it’s never been addressed. RAs will refuse to give a resident insulin throughout her whole shift if you let her and will make multiple excuses as of why not, and she’s going to school for nursing. Absolutely not. If Management doesn’t like you, she will give the shift(s) that you pick up and give them to someone else. Pages will go off for an HOUR because the whole staff is lazy as well. If you want drama. Stress, and constant favoritism and abuse go here. Oh! And don’t ever stand up for yourself! They will harass you every day up until you either get overwhelmed or quit, or they fire you over something that everyone else does.
Mendelson Home is where our mother resides and has been there for over 2 years now. The RN’s, CNA’s and Caregivers are exceptional. The constant open communication about the well being of my mother is consistent. She has made friends at Mendelson and keeps busy with the many activities they offer. Thank you Care staff for taking such wonderful care of our mom.
Very horrible management they lie about what they say are it's more like a nursing home. The food is very bad almost like jail food. I would not recommend this place for your loved ones do not believe anything they say. This is not assisted living we had to move our grandmother out of there and she couldn't wait. RAs are over worked understaffed all the time.
This facility cared for my mother for 10+ years. The staff are kind and empathetic to both residents and their families. I would not hesitate to recommend Mendelson Assisted Living for anyone’s loved one.
definitely the right choice for us/for mom.
Amazing people! They take great care of my grandparents.
