Yes I would recommend this home. One thing I really love about this home is they have treated my mom as family.
[Name removed] did not honor the contract and refuses to honor it. So beware of negotiations about your loved one.
My mother has had quite a few visitors, and they've all told me it's a nice place, even some of the more skeptical family members. I'm there several days a week, and I like it there. It's a nice, homey place. It's exceptionally clean, and Mom's bedroom is well lit and cheerful. We've gotten to know the people there personally and some of their relatives. I was scared to take my mom someplace where the caretakers ignored the residents and didn't care for them properly. But that has not been the case here. All the caretakers I've talked to really like working there. It's not just a job to them.…
My mother has had quite a few visitors, and they've all told me it's a nice place, even some of the more skeptical family members. It's not just a job to them. They care. I'm very comfortable with the owners, and they contact me on a regular basis. When I see the food served, it looks like they're getting the residents a good meal. I like that they serve fruit and give a good amount of fluids. The people there aren't really mobile, so there's not a lot of activities, but they do what they can. And they're good about reading whether Mom is having a good or a bad day and interacting with her accordingly. They're also good about giving me daily updates. The owner recently requested that Grace Medical stop by for a hospice evaluation to talk about coming in for regular therapy. I was under the misconception that hospice meant close to death, so I was appreciative that the owner took that initiative to explore options for extra care for my mom that I didn't know were available. And Grace Medical said Mom looked good, that her weight was good, and they saw no evidence of any issues other than normally progressing dementia. It has been such a relief for our family to have the help and support from Nathan's Place in caring for our mom.
I love this place! This is where my mother calls home now. Pam the owner, is the best. Very family oriented. Can't say enough good things about her and Nathan's place. Thank you for all that you do, not only for my mother but myself as well!
We chose Nathan's Place for my father. It's called adult foster care assisted living. They had six rooms, and some rooms were bigger than others. The people there were very happy. A husband and wife couple runs the place. Meals were included, and they can transport for activities as well. The dining room had a big table with seating, and they had the kitchen around.
The rooms are private and well furnished. The staff are always friendly. I don't have any chores. I spend each day with my house mates and my computer. There are TVs in every room. They are big and flat screen. Four meals a day are comforting. When I first came here I was depressed and wanted to die. Now I am happy and want to stay here forever. There are 3 retired teachers here including me. If you or one of your friends or relatives need assistive living please check out Nathans Place.
My mom has hospice coming to Nathan's Place because she needs 24/7 care. The owner is an LPN who often does a shift there so I feel like my mom is getting very good nursing care that I wouldn't be able to get any place else for what we're spending. It's a private ranch-style house that has a big fence. They cook the food right there in the kitchen and they have balanced meals. They always make sure that the residents are getting proper hydration. It's a very casual and homey kind of place. I'm grateful for everything they're doing for my mom. They actually take ownership of her care and they really help, so we work together. There's always a caregiver there, and the owner sees the patients several times a week. The staff is pretty knowledgeable. The food looks and smells good, and the people seem to like it. The place is older, but it's neat and clean. The price is very reasonable at $3,600 a month and it's all-inclusive.
