North Woods Village of Kalamazoo

North Woods Village of Kalamazoo is a great place for memory care. It is a beautiful facility with well equipped spacious rooms and they have top notch staff from the administration, nursing, food, maintenance and even volunteers. They work with residents individually as well as offering activities in groups, for example morning movement, bingo, balloon volleyball, or social hour and live music and sing-alongs. The staff that interact and work with residents are caring, calm and friendly as well as helpful to visitors. They offer wonderful food to meet the needs of residents and they have a super chef with a super staff. It’s always clean and looks bright and inviting. Everyone is helpful and caring here. When people say it “takes a village”, North Woods Village is the place to be. I am glad I found them.

Wonderful place to spend the rest of life!!

My wife will move into North Woods Village Memory Care Assisted Living of Kalamazoo. I like the way it was set up. There's a lot of walkable space. There is a courtyard that is confined, or that is internal, so that you could be outside safely. It's set up essentially for small villages or neighborhoods, they call it, and that would work well in our situation. It offered everything we wanted, but the only thing that's an issue and common with all is the monthly rate. The staff was very good, attentive, professional, and in tune with what was needed. The facility was very clean. There were libraries, sitting areas, activity spaces, quiet rooms, and sunshine rooms.

What we like the most about North Woods is the staff. The staff is very kind and accommodating and the activities are interesting and appeal to a wide variety. Yes, we would recommend North Woods Village to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Response to call cords slow, laundry service inconsistent. Beautiful facility, food is good. Hindsight, wish we had used a combined facility (assisted living and memory care).
