I brought my dad here first and foremost because of the Activity department. I’ve had experience with a lot of different places and they are the best. Between the car show, trunk or treat, Christmas party, grill outs, cards, laughs, puzzles, coloring or just shooting the breeze, it’s been vital for maintaining his mentation. Nursing has been good as well. everytime I show up, he is clean and cared for. No place is perfect, but his blood pressure have gone from 160/90 to normal and his blood sugars have gone from consistent 500s to a regular 120-140. His incontinence and cleanliness issues are…

His incontinence and cleanliness issues are now a non issue. Irisha is his nurse often and actually cares about him not just as a patient but as a person. He was a successful, smart civil engineer, so to see him treated with respect and dignity means a lot. Thank you!
Neglectful!!!!! Pain management was not a thing. Consistently 8 hours LATE with pain medication! They neglected changing my mother's wound vac to the point it leaked all over her, the bed and the floor! And then took hours to clean up. The window in her room didn't lock and they said it was fine, no one comes up those stairs. Ac did not work. Did not receive water when she needed it. Request went unanswered regularly and she was only there a week! Corwell health Dearborn indicated this as a top rated facility!
DO NOT TAKE LOVED ONES HERE. Our elderly loved one was transfered here after surgery. They declared the loved one incompetent to make decisions for themselves per the doctor there. Social worker there was the laziest I have ever seen. She wouldn't help with anything. Said their own paperwork from their doctor didn't matter. We explained loved one needed to be able to to up 3 stairs to get into home when home. Social worker flat out lied and said loved one could go up stairs. Went to go pick up loved one and nursing staff said that loved one couldn't go up stairs. It took my loved ones 2.5 hrs…

They discharged with medications and never even explained when to give them or what they do. This place is full of incompetent staff. Pick somewhere else instead of sending your loved one here.
Everyone was very nice and took good care of me. The physical therapy department is fabulous Robert and Rita the bomb. Kris, Sherry, Dawn are very good hearted and very helpful.
Not a good place. a picture is worth a thousand words they need to be investigated
Terrible place for your loved one to be. They were chronically late on medication schedules, ran out of medication, cancelled/missed offsite doctors' appointments without letting family know, offered to pay for missing clothing but never responded to emails after weeks and weeks of questioning; my list could go on and on. We had constant contact with social workers, etc and they always apologize and promise to do better, but it was never "better".
My mom was just discharged from her second short-term stay in this place. I don't understand how this is one of the best rated nursing homes in the area? My mom has been complaining over and over again for the past three days about not feeling good, she's more short of breath than usual, her feet, legs, and hands, are swollen. Yet the doctor looked and said they weren't swollen (as if we don't know what her feet normally look like), and nurses said she wasn't wheezing. I took her to urgent care directly after her discharge and they said her lungs did not sound good, she's wheezing bad, and she is very swollen. Her congestive heart failure is the cause of her not feeling good due to fluid buildup, which they acknowledged she had, but wouldn't do anything and had her wait for her cardiologist. Understandable, but he was not happy with the lack of action either. There's a list of others complaints I have not just regarding her care, but the care of others there as well. The website says there are nurses available 24/7 to assist but you'll have a call light on for hours and will look down the hall to see absolutely nobody. Not a single nurse or aide in sight through the entire hall sometimes. Patients are screaming for help, having accidents, not eating, not being changed enough, they smell, etc. My moms roommate had a bandage on her broken foot that hadn't been changed in 4 days despite her constant asking and telling them it was beginning to hurt. While there are some sweet, lovely aides, activity workers, physical therapists, and some great nurses, there are some that seem to not care, or maybe some are burnt out. If that's the case, more trained nurses need hired. More aides need hired. Nurse to patient ratio needs to be re-examined. Something needs to be done, I feel bad for anyone living there without family advocacy. It's not great. It's extremely upsetting. Again, extremely grateful and thankful to some of the lovely nurses and aides that helped care for my mom and were attentive to mine and her concerns. The front desk receptionists were all sweet and helpful. The physical therapists all seemed nice and one even purchased my mom some dollar store items. It's just disheartening and depressing to see the, often, lack of care and appropriate medical service.
I came from the hospital needing therapy and I got it. The staff worked together to make my stay both positive and fruitful. I truly appreciate the staff and there focus on my well-being.
