Pine Ridge of Garfield

We’ve been with Pine Ridge since 2021 and was extremely happy with the service until recently. Rent goes up randomly with little to no changes. When I asked about rent going up I got no response from the management. Rent started around $2600 and by the time we left pine ridge it was $3600/month for the same (or less) amount of care. The new management team is great at selling the facility but If you are smart I’d steer clear and find a better place to live or have your loved one stay. The food went from outstanding to sub par, they seem to pick and choose whose new “rules” apply to, ect. The staff was always amazing and friendly but with the new management this place has gone down hill fast. They paint a great compassionate picture when showing new apartments to potential people wanting to move in but it’s new system is hardly compassionate at all. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff (who we have known for years) are always looking out for us, helping us, and we’re so caring. It seems the new management team only cares about rules and making a profit not the residents or staff. I’d highly suggest finding somewhere else to spend your money.

My mother has been living here since May 2024. She and our family (but especially Mom) have been *very pleased* with her care from Pine Ridge's attentive staff and the community feel that has been fostered there (through two different Managers since moving in). The entire facility and grounds are clean and well cared for, too, which we value and greatly appreciate. Mom's very nice apartment is situated along the backside of the property that overlooks trees and a privacy fence, as opposed to some that face the Garfield Road...so we all really like that. Mom is very happy with the daily food options and Menu, always telling me that "it was good" (when I ask) ...also knowing that she can special order meals if the featured dish being served that particular meal isn't what she wanted to have. Also, the convenient and appreciated weekly room cleaning and laundry services are provided in the very reasonable monthly fee. What I know with 100% certainty is that our family feels extremely fortunate to have discovered this home for a very special woman.

My mom has lived at Pine Ridge of Garfield for almost 7 years and we couldn't have found a better place for her. Just about everything is included for her like her cleaning, laundry and meals and I think she has a more active social life than I do! Since the new chef started a few months ago, she has been very pleased with the options in the dining room and especially raves about the soup. Her apartment has a small patio that looks at a beautiful courtyard where she plants her flowers with the garden club each summer. The staff is always friendly and some have even been there since she moved in. There is a great variety of social activities- she really enjoys the daily exercise classes and musical entertainment each week and they even have their own resident choir. It is very clean and well maintained and they even renovated the whole building a couple years ago. I would recommend Pine Ridge of Garfield to anyone looking for senior living!

My parents 91 & 93 finally moved out of their home of over 40 years and moved in Pine Ridge 2 months ago. From the sales person ( Jackie ) to the entire staff ( Rob, Debbie, Samantha, Jackie, Mary Ann ) they have treated them like family. My Mom says it's like being on a cruise ship everyday. No more cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping, and driving to their doctor appointments.My Dad uses their PT people on staff and my Mom uses the exercise classes. At their age they just went to their first toga party ( LOL ) They have been happy with the food there but they have notice a change in the dining room. ( Chef & Servers) since they have been there, I hope that doesn't continue. They are very outgoing and have met so many people and get involved in allot of activities.With all that being said I hope that the staff continues to treat them like family

I’m deeply disappointed with Pine Ridge of Garfield’s advertising methods. They sent an unsolicited piece of mail to my elderly mother, who does not require their services. This caused her unnecessary emotional distress, as the mail was unsolicited and carried a morbid undertone, implying a need for care she doesn’t require. Targeting elderly individuals in this way feels intrusive and thoughtless. I urge the management to reconsider this approach—it’s insensitive and does more harm than good. A more respectful method of advertising would go a long way in improving your reputation. Or simply don’t send it at all!
