Serene Meadows of Grand Blanc

My dad has been doing physical therapy here after his surgery, and it's been exactly what he needed. His therapist is supportive while also being honest about his progress, and every session focuses on helping him regain the confidence and skills to be independent at home. To me, that's exactly what quality assisted living should provide.

We chose Serene Meadows because of a single interaction. My mother was nervous about moving and a caregiver she'd never met before sat with her for an hour on visiting day, just listening. That's the kind of place this is.

My husband and I visited for a potential move and spent time in the common areas asking residents questions directly. Every single person we talked to spoke positively about their experience, which told us everything we needed to know.

The dining room experience surprised me the most. My grandfather sits with the same group every meal, they've become friends, and the food is restaurant-quality. He actually looks forward to meals now instead of eating out of obligation.

My visit last Tuesday was eye-opening. Residents were chatting in the common areas, not sitting in front of a TV. There was a visiting musician, the place was clean but lived-in, and the director knew several residents by name and their stories.
