The personalized care that she receives is only available to residents that can afford that level of care privately. Residents receiving Medicaid benefits are not accepted. A full financial disclosure precedes admission. Evaluation of the resident's care needs can not exceed the ability of the care team. In such an event the resident will not be considered eligible for admission regardless of financial circumstances. This facility is small in scale. There is very limited availability. The entire establishment (2 buildings) only accommodate a total of 12 residents. 6 in assisted living, 6 in…

In such an event the resident will not be considered eligible for admission regardless of financial circumstances. This facility is small in scale. There is very limited availability. The entire establishment (2 buildings) only accommodate a total of 12 residents. 6 in assisted living, 6 in memory care. The facility is located in a rural environment and may be out of the way for some families. We are from the area and it fits our needs very well. We are very fortunate to have the support of this team to help us through the complexities inherent with AD.
The Cottages was a wonderful place for my mom til her passing last May... very caring ownership and staff. We would highly recommend it! They were truly angels in caring for my dear mom, even through her last days with Hospice. I cannot say enough about the superlative care Mom received-- they treated her with utmost respect, kindness and love.

Many factors were involved in choosing this facility. Proximity, availability, cost, phone interview and follow up. Commitment on the part of administrative staff. Medical care qualification. The smaller scale of the facility and more personalized living environment.My mother's care requires a combination of training, patience and experience. I was willing to pay a premium in order to find an environment that could offer an elevated quality of care.
The Cottages are a wonderful, caring home-like environment for a loved one! The caregivers are genuinely caring and work as a team, providing a "family" structure. We are so very happy to have our dear mom loved and cared for by these professional and compassionate people! No where on earth better for my precious mother! Love from them and love and gratitude from her and us her family! My mom is now in Hospice care at The Cottages and they treat her with such dignity, compassion and kindness. We couldn't be more blessed by the experience! (Hospice is great too!)

Absolutely amazing residence and staff. My mom is making an amazing turn around for 92 years young. Unbelievable care she is getting now!! Thank you to all!!!
Above and beyond are the words I used to describe our experience at The Cottages at Martin Lake. Words simply cannot describe how the owner and staff carry out their mission statement. Mom and Dad have such amazing individual loving care in the most beautiful home and setting. We are all treated like family here and are incredibly blessed to have found The Cottages at Martin Lake.
