Thank you for taking such good car of my family! My Mom & Dad have adorable 1 bedroom unit with their own furniture and pictures on wall overlooking the courtyard, which we haven't used yet but plan on it when the weather gets better. They have room for kitchen table & three chairs, living room furniture with love seat, recliner and end table, kitchenette with small fridge & microwave, and bedroom with queen bed and two end tables. They like to sleep late so the staff delivers breakfast to their room every morning. My sister is just down the hall in a studio and they allowed her to bring her…

My sister is just down the hall in a studio and they allowed her to bring her electric fireplace which makes her room so cozy, they placed her close to my parents so they can dine together! My Dad had a problem with his blood pressure and they monitored it every three hours. The food is wonderful and the dining room is beautiful with a cathedral ceiling and fireplace. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Also because my Dad has early stage alzheimer's and my sister may have to have medicaid waiver in the future, they have memory care in same building and they take medicaid waiver for my sister so they can all stay together and won't be transferred to another building or facility which was extremely important to our family!

My Sister and brother in law are currently living here, the staff are all very AMAZING they are all so loving and caring. This place is kept SO clean, so are their livling quaters. I'd recommend this place to anybody that wants to live in a happy place. Jeannie ✝️😇🛐

My daughter transitioned to Walnut Ridge after leaving the hospital. The staff were incredibly helpful in preparing for her arrival, helping her fit in and come to really enjoy all of the caring people there. Kind, considerate, happy people along with residents that love living there. Many fun activities attracted her from staying in her room all day. The facility is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and maintained. She really enjoyed her time there

Thank you so much for all the fantastic care, wonderful staff, and the residents are so nice. I really enjoyed my stay here. I made many friends and I am shy by nature. Our medicine is always on time. Housekeeping is superb. I really enjoyed all the fun activities mostly bingo, Holland State Park, the car show, and the baseball game. I will recommend it for anyone looking for assisted living. The rooms are spacious. They come with a bed, a new television, an armoire, microwave, mini fridge, and bedside tables.

I have been in and out of this building for many years. Their have been so many name and ownership changes over the past ten years, I can't remember them all. Of course, the newest owners can't speak to conditions under previous management....understandable. However, one thing remains consistent, poor care. Some of the staff try and are kind, others don't acknowledge your presence at all. Some of the front office staff are friendly and helpful, others are aloof and rude. For awhile, the majority of the staff didn't speak any English. Not an issue typically, but less than ideal for seniors who can't hear in the first place. Historically, the building has had issues with many staff quitting all at once. This has left residents with a lack of assistance, and unsafe conditions. The stories I could tell.....all staff quitting at the same time, staff fights in the lobby, fire alarms going off in the night and staff unsure of what to do, residents on the floor for prolonged periods. This point seems simple, but telling: when flowers are delivered to a resident, the plastic isn't taken off of the arrangement, leaving it to wilt on a beside table. Additionally, the building looks beautiful, BUT many of the windows in the residents rooms don't actually close. The winter cold blows in, the wind howls, and heat seeps in during summer months. Resident rooms and bathrooms are only surface level cleaned. Please read this review and take it to heart. There are many more stories that are not being shared here. Most of the residents can't speak up or have nowhere else to go, but if your loved one has any other available option, choose that!

From Elmcroft, to Azpira, to Care Cardinal and now Walnut Ridge? How many times is a horrible facility able to change names/ownership to run away from the fact that they don’t provide adequate care and services to the residents? Sad to see yet ANOTHER name change but no actual change.

I am pleased to share my heartfelt experience with Walnut Ridge Assisted Living, where my mother found a wonderful home for her final living experience. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed by a warm and caring atmosphere that truly sets this place apart. The staff at Walnut Ridge are exceptional. They are attentive, compassionate, and genuinely devoted to the residents' well-being. My mother received incredible care throughout her time there, and I will forever be grateful for the love and support they provided. Even during her final days, they showed her the utmost respect and kindness, ensuring she was comfortable and surrounded by love. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and feels like home. The dining options are excellent, with a variety of healthy meals catered to different dietary needs. My mother enjoyed trying new dishes and appreciated the care that went into every meal. Overall, I cannot express enough gratitude for Walnut Ridge Assisted Living. They provided my mother with a loving and supportive environment where she could thrive. It brings me great peace of mind knowing she was in such capable hands until the very end. I highly recommend Walnut Ridge to any family looking for a nurturing place for their loved ones.

As an outside provider I find that Walnut Ridge staff are available to answer any questions or concerns I have for my patients. The facility is clean and beautiful.
