My mother, all my hassle time was in this facility for the last four months of her life. She passed away at 94. She had excellent care. The people her hair were great. I wasn’t necessarily involved in the price she paid.
My grandma lives here and the staff is very nice. Her only complaint is that she doesn’t like the food lol.
The employees here are fabulous! They truly care about their residents and consistently go above and beyond to meet their needs and ensure they are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. The staff is attentive, kind, and dedicated to providing excellent care. It’s clear that they genuinely value the well-being and happiness of those they serve. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved one.
Omg staff is so awesome here!! The aid on front street are always on top things when it comes to meeting the residents needs. Nurses are just absolutely fabulous!! The Kitchen staff does so amazingly well with their food service! Ten out of ten
Wonderful caring staff. Always great communication. Clean. Everyone is friendly. And they have a lot of great activities. They do a good job with everything.
It’s a great place to be. All of the staff really work to provide the best care from management to floor staff. They are constantly striving to improve. They care about keeping the residents happy providing activities to keep everyone busy. They truly want you to feel at home here
Great place that takes care of your family member like they are their family. The really care and are extra attentive to the residents. Everybody that works there makes you and your family feel like part of their family
My father was admitted to this facility for what was supposed to be a short stay of 2–3 weeks for physical therapy so he could return home. Instead, he nearly lost his life. Westwood failed to follow physician orders for wound care. At one point, we even found another patient’s medical orders in my father’s room — a serious and dangerous violation. His wounds were neglected for so long that tissue became necrotic. He had to be rushed to the hospital, where ICU doctors and nurses said they could smell the dead tissue the moment they entered his room. He was septic and came close to dying. When we confronted Westwood, their only response was, “We are so sorry this happened,” over and over. No accountability. No explanation. Once my father became coherent enough to speak, he broke down crying and said, “That place was bad. Please don’t make me go back.” He was left without adequate food or water. He developed pressure wounds on his legs from being left in the same position for extended periods of time. His mental state declined, his coloring was visibly wrong, and when we repeatedly tried to alert staff, we were met with resistance, dismissal, and outright lies. This was not a simple mistake — this was systemic neglect. If you care about your loved one’s safety, dignity, and survival, do not bring them to this facility. What happened to my father should never happen to anyone. *Edited to add: Congratulations Westwoods of Niles. You may not have successfully killed my father while he was in your care but you certainly left him in such a horrific state that his body would never be able to recover. He died yesterday, 2/19/26. Just over a month after you almost killed him at your facility.
