4.4 · 31 reviewsMy mother is in hospice at this facility and the staff has been nothing short of FANTASTIC. They are friendly, attentive, and compassionate. Mom is the happiest she has been in a long time and it is due, in large part, to Jessica and the staff! They are the best and they care for your loved ones like they are their loved ones.
Eileen Siehda When our mother passed away we moved our mentally handicapped brother to Young Home for the Elderly because he was unable to care for himself. We are very happy that we did so for many reasons. Our brother lived there for 11 years and received great care. He told us many times that he liked living there and that the people were very nice. The residents ate their meals together at the dining room tables and were encouraged to spend their days together in the large living area as a family, rather than isolating in their bedrooms. Eileen Siehda When our mother passed away we moved our mentally handicapped brother to Young Home for the Elderly because he was unable to care for himself. We are very happy that we did so for many reasons. Our brother lived there for 11 years and received great care. He told us many times that he liked living there and that the people were very nice. The residents ate their meals together at the dining room tables and were encouraged to spend their days together in the large living area as a family, rather than isolating in their bedrooms. This created a family living environment for them. Young home had planned activities such as arts and crafts, bingo and movie nights for whoever wanted to join in. The owners also hosted parties for each holiday and families were invited to attend. The facility was always clean and its residents were showered on a regular basis. Young home was a wonderful second family for our brother and we were welcome to visit him any time. When he became very ill and his death was imminent, the young home staff was very loving and attentive and helped the hospice staff to make him very comfortable. They told us several times how much they loved our brother and how they would miss him. We are very grateful for the loving care that the owners and staff gave our precious brother for many years. We highly recommend Young Home for your loved ones care as well.
My mom spent the last four months of her life at Young Home for the Elderly, and she was truly happy there. The staff didn’t just care for her — they treated her like family. She was surrounded by love, warmth, and a community that made her feel at home. Knowing she passed in a place where she was genuinely cared for brings me so much comfort. I will always be grateful to everyone there for giving her joy, dignity, and peace in her final days.

For the owners its all about the money please think twice before you take your loved one there if they need more than just basic help.
Highly recommend. This place is small. 20 rooms that are in an old house that has been added on to. My mom was there for about 3 months before she passed. I found the staff to be above and beyond. They actually talk to, comfort, and hug the residents. They actually care! My mom was treated very well even when being difficult. All meals are prepared on site. Home is very clean and staff plan a variety of activities. Place feels more like a home and not an institution. Hope this reviews assist in the very difficult decision you are making.
Our family was so pleased with the care, thoughtfulness, and amenities Young Home for the Elderly provided to our loved one for several years. Jessica (manager) and her entire staff were wonderful. Jessica was a pleasure to work with and get to know: very personable, followed thru with concerns, and was accommodating when able. She listens, and she's passionate about Young's purpose and environment. Highly recommend!
I recently visited Young Home for the Elderly and found the care there to be outstanding! My aunt has been living there for more than a few months now, and I can see the positive difference it has made in her life. The staff is always attentive, compassionate, and genuinely committed to each resident's well-being. The warm, friendly atmosphere, coupled with engaging activities, has truly made it a home for my aunt. I highly recommend it!
Great place to have your family members stay ! Very welcoming ! Staff is so friendly and welcoming! Place is very clean and residents seem to be well taken care of! Nice home cooked meals ! 24 hour care and family oriented! Highly recommended
