4.2 · 42 reviewsI liked my apartment, it was very pretty...I had a great balcony and the area was quiet with Kroger's right across the street...They offer a lot of amenities and worked hard to give us a better way of life...I liked the restaurant, food was good, seasonal decorations were awesome, rides to grocery stores and events were greatly appreciated, and tenants for the most part were enjoyable to be around...In the end, I decided to vacate early and go back to Florida...Michigan is where I was born but it's no longer my home, Florida is my home now...
I highly recommend Lockwood of Lyon. My dad moved into Lockwood over a year ago. He always said he never wanted to live in a senior community. One day last year he said he wanted to check out Lockwood of Lyon because he heard so many great things. He just said to me the other day he should have moved there years ago. He was so isolated before he moved into Lockwood. Now he is part of photography group, has breakfast every morning with a bunch of friends, he loves going on outings, the staff is like family so friendly. I highly recommend Lockwood of Lyon. My dad moved into Lockwood over a year ago. He always said he never wanted to live in a senior community. One day last year he said he wanted to check out Lockwood of Lyon because he heard so many great things. He just said to me the other day he should have moved there years ago. He was so isolated before he moved into Lockwood. Now he is part of photography group, has breakfast every morning with a bunch of friends, he loves going on outings, the staff is like family so friendly. When the weather is nice he loves walking on the paths and around the community. He no longer needs to worry about all of the costs of household repairs. I would love to see more people like my dad benefiting from connecting with other like minded adults.
Lockwood of Lyon was the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived. The cost was more than fair, the amenities and events were plentiful, the dining room was a treat. Management and their team always seemed to go above and beyond and care about who we were as residence, thank you…

Food is varied. Breakfast can be ordered ala-cart. Activities include lunches, dinners, and shopping at various stores. Monthly community meeting. Cards, bingo, jigsaw puzzles. Birthday celebrations. Local talent presentations.

Our experience with Lockwood of Lyon has been very positive, with all of the staff being proactive in dealing with any needs we have had. The facility is kept very clean and is in excellent condition. The chef at their kitchen supplies high quality meals which we have enjoyed many times. We highly recommend this facility, our 90 year old mother lives on-site and has made good friends with other residents and is involved in extra activities and shared transportation trips.
