Porter Hills is best described as a community. The residents are from varied backgrounds and interested in each other. The staff is extraordinary in its professionalism while still being caring. My spouse and I are completely satisfied with our decision to live this stage of our lives here.
Comfortable apartment. Nice kitchen. Great neighbors. Enjoy happy hour get-together in the community room on Fridays. Dining Room meals 2-3 times per week is a good way to meet new people. Activities available to choose from. Ken enjoyed simulated golf 2 times a week and found Tyler very helpful in His swing performance until golf stopped without any explanation. He does attend men’s coffee and Bible Study weekly. I attend Water aerobics.
Enjoying our life at The Ravines! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. We enjoy our neighbors and the facilities are great.
We moved into the Ravines on May 27, 2025 from our home in EGR. I was somewhat leery about the move, but have been very pleasantly surprised to find living here thoroughly enjoyable. Love the Ravines, all the friends we have made and the ability to continue gardening and woodworking activities, among many other things.
My mother-in-law lived here and was well cared for in the transitions she had to make before her death and now my aunt is here. Best accommodation of all retirement villages. Staff are lovely. The new independent living apartments are beautiful!
Care seems dependent on individual workers. Some are great. Weekend staff don't really want to be there. I know their jobs are not easy, but sometimes they don't have much empathy. It's an older building but they are building a new one.
Very clean. Very friendly staff and helpful
My husband and I came here four years ago and I am so happy to spend the last years of my life here. The residents are all delightful and there are tons of activities to fit everyone's interests. I'm healthier now than before I came - - physically, mentally, and emotionally due to a great activity director, incredible fitness trainer, and interesting, stimulating interaction with others. We have a new, upscale dining room with a top-of-the-line creative chef preparing gourmet personal meals for everyone. Staff listens to residents and cares about their needs. We often comment to each other that "we are so blessed by living here". Thank you Brio and Porter Hills.
